The Swimming Pool:
All cottages share the use of our 38? by 16? outdoor, heated, covered swimming pool which is open from Easter to the end of September each year. The depth ranges from 3 feet in the shallow end to 5 feet at the deep end. As it is covered you can swim in any weather during its open season. Children love to hear the rain falling on the cover while they are in the water.
Within the gardens we have a separate Games Room for entertainment and amusement whatever the weather. There is a pool table, small snooker table, a table tennis table, table top football, board games and books for you to borrow during your stay. There are also a variety of toys and games to suit younger children.
Spread around the gardens are children’s play areas with climbing frame, swing, slide, sandpit and trampoline. There is room on the grassed areas for family games including football, cricket and badminton.
There are 2 acres of pleasant gardens in which to stroll and relax or just sit down and read a book. There are picnic tables at various spots around the gardens. Take a stroll through the glade, over the stile across our 6 acre field and into 7 acres of our private woodland. All affording stunning views of the surrounding countryside and towards Exmoor.
