4 Bedroom, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 8/10 Plus Cot Bed.

Bramble house is a semi detached house with period features and spacious rooms. The house can sleep 8/10 plus there is a cot bed. First floor consists of Master bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, twin room which can be made into a super-king size on request, also on this floor is a luxury marble bathroom with a Jacuzzi spa bath and double steam/shower cubicle. On the second floor there is a very large family room with two single beds and a small double sofa-bed (for flexible sleeping arrangements), plus a cot bed, an additional room with a double bed, plus a shower room with wc and sink. There is ample storage space for the rooms.

On the ground floor is the entrance hall with coat hooks, large lounge with a feature fireplace, there is a very large L shaped kitchen and dining room with a gas stove, table and seating for 8. From the dining room there are patio doors leading to a small lean to conservatory which has an additional small table with chairs, and additional coat hooks and boot rack. At the back of the house is a stone store which maybe used to keep bikes. The garden is accessed either from the front of the house or the back, where it is mainly lawn with a patio area which has table and chairs

The house has been furnished to a high standard for use by ourselves and our guests. Bramble house is ideally situated for exploring the lakes, Scottish Borders as well as relaxing in a beautiful house.

The house was purchased in 2005 as a family home but having relocated we have decided to keep the house as a holiday home so that we can continue to enjoy cumbria and the lake district.

A peaceful town centre location with the convenience of local shops and country pubs close by, the Talkin Tarn nature reserve and its 65 acre lake is 2 miles away, lots of local woodland walks are close by.

The border city of Carlisle is 9 miles away with its Castle and Cathedral, and Gretna green in Scotland with the famous Blacksmiths shop also 9 miles away. Hadrians wall virtually runs through Brampton stretching 80 miles and is now a world heritage site you can walk part of it or all! the closest fort is Birdoswald, a few miles away and Lanercost priory are both worth a visit.

Further a field but within easy reach is the lake district national park, Ullswater a stunning North lake can be reached in 30 minutes its steamer can take you around the lake or you can walk, in my book not to miss. Also on the lake side is Airaforce a large waterfall surrounded by stunning countryside.

For those who like a bit of the city life, culture and history Newcastle and Edinburgh, Scotlands capital can be reached by train in a little over an hour from Carlisle, travelling through beautiful countryside on the way, or indeed you can drive. This is the ideal self catering property to discover some of the most beautiful and historic parts of Cumbria, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Perfect for families and groups of friends.

  • Prices are listed as from Friday, Saturday check in's are charged at the same rate as the Friday before the Saturday.

    Short breaks available request rates, to be paid in full at time of booking. A minimum nightly rate for short breaks
    is £100 per night, and not the additional nightly price which is for stays longer than 1 week. Weekend rates start at £300.

Loved staying at the house everything was great.

We loved staying at the house everything was great. It was easy to go into the town (Carlisle), on a bus and of course Brampton has many of its own beautiful walks.which us younger ones enjoyed.

One of our friends used Off the Wall cafe to access the internet everymorning and drank coffee there which he liked.

I hope you manage to get lots of other customers!

We have visited the area 2 years running in October and been blessed with gorgeous sunshine & blue skies making a stunning area even more beautiful. After an energetic day walking Hadrian's wall, exploring North Lakes or even Southern Scotland (all of which are easily accessible from Brampton), this house offers all the comfort, space, necessities & luxuries you could want. A home from home when on holiday is what everyone wants and we're looking forward to a future return visit.

Excellent spacious accommodation in Brampton

My family and I visited this property in March this year. The accommodation was excellent. Very clean and spacious throughout. The large kitchen was very well appointed, as were the new modern bathrooms. The comfortable lounge, splendid dining room and the romantic bedrooms were very thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Brampton is an ideal village, with an abundance of shops and restaurants. Nearby is the very special Talkin Tarn with plenty of wildlife and amenities. Further afield are the towns of Carlisle (great Castle) and Newcastle. Art galleries and crafts are a special feature in the town of Hexham. This was an ideal house from which to visit the wonderful Cumbrian lakes and picturesque villages, the legendary Beatrix Potter and the historic Hadrian’s Wall.
