This is a true ski-in / ski-out condo. The slopeside location of Mountain Watch is ideal for a family or gathering of friends. From either deck off large master bedrooms, you can see your family getting on to the Villager lift. The Stratton Village restaurants and shops are just steps away. The condo is completely furnished with all linens, towels, pots, pans, cooking supplies, VCRs and DVDs, really everything from 'soup to nuts'. It also includes an outdoor grill for the truly adventuresome, who enjoy grilling in the bitter cold. On the main level is the kitchen, dining area, and a wood burning fireplace in living room. There are two large master bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a private bath. In the loft, there are two twin beds, a bunk bed and a third full bath. One renter had returned for the same week for 8 years and then bought a place nearby. The condo is ideal for a large family or two couples with a few children. This should be a great winter.

This 'Mountain Watch' Penthouse unit is right at the base of the Villager lift at Stratton Mountain. It is also at the corner of the village and is on the Mountain side of the Stratton Access Road. You can ski from and to the unit from multiple directions. You can walk to Stratton Village where there are restaurants, ski and snowboard shops, a great deli and small market, jewelry, home furnishing, candy, photography and spa shops. Stratton is close to Manchester for outstanding turn of the century hotels, restaurants and great shopping in upscale outlets. Snowmobiling is at the corner of Rt's 11/30. Horseback riding is at the Sunbowl and on Rt. 30. The Stratton sports club has indoor tennis and a full fitness center. This is a great place for winter vacations, especially where there are children (and adults) who want to be in short walking distance of everything.

    Note: The basic holiday and weekend rate is $1,500 per night. However, for weekend stays of three nights or longer and holiday stays of 4 nights and longer, we discount the additional nights to cover the exit cleaning fee and to cover some of the taxes and fees.

  • Two of the three bathrooms have standard size tubs that are equipped with jacuzzi jets. All three bathrooms have showers in the tubs.

  • On the main floor there are large king size master bedrooms. The first master bedroom has a king size bed, full closet, private bath with jacuzzi, a beautiful view of the slope and a sliding door to the main deck. The second master (also called the 'lock-out' master because of its privacy) is probably 300 sq ft and has a king bed, full closet, private full bath. The loft has two twin beds, a bunk bed, a full bath with jacuzzi tub and a small area with a TV. There are beds for 8 in the condo. We seem to often be rented out by two couples with small children. This is about as good as it gets at Stratton, due to the superb location.

Notes: Upgrades are continuously made, and some are not reflected in the photos. For example, there is a new front loading washer and drier in the utility room. The stove is now a GE Profile Convection unit and the microwave has been upgraded for fast cooking. TV's are new flat screen. This condo is a complete slope side home, used by the owner, and made available specific holiday weekends. It has everything ... as if you were staying at a friend's lodge.

Skiing and Snowboarding: Stratton Mountain is a great place for having a lot of fun with your family and friends. The snowmaking is the best in the east. The ski and snowboard lessons are terrific. The terrain is well groomed. Parks are plentiful. Stratton is a wonderful place for skiing and snowboarding. A number of telemarketing skiers are also making Stratton their home and you can see snowshoers all the time. Stratton is almost perfect. The only downside (we can think of) for expert skiers, is that it has a few difficult double black diamond bumped slopes, but not the extreme runs found at Sugarbush or out west, for example. It is a big beautiful round mountain and a great place for a vacation. And it is only 3 hours from Conn., Westchester, Boston and 4 hours from Long Island and New Jersey (plus a little more for certain locations and stops).
