Luxury Villa With private pool 5 Bedrooms, Sleeps Up To 9

This is a good opportunity to experience a summer holiday in one of the loveliest villages in Tuscany. Casa Corrado is set just above the medieval walled village of Castiglione. There is a view of the ancient Castello from the house and garden.

There are 5 bedrooms in the newly built villa, which is perfect for groups of family and friends.

The villa has also been designed with the aim of being comfortable for wheelchair users.

Downstairs, at the ground level with access through the internal garage, there is a large double bedroom with easy access to a bathroom with handrails, a low sink and a wheel-in shower with a seat and rails. There is also a twin room downstairs.

On the first floor there is a main door which leads into a roomy lounge with a 10 seat dining room table. For colder periods there is a cosy open wood fire. The lounge has French doors to the large balcony, which is a feature throughout the villa. The kitchen has easy access to the balcony through a French door.

Also on the first floor there is a lovely matrimonial room with a French door which leads to its own balcony with views over the pool and the beautiful countryside beyond. There is a double room and a single room which also has a door which goes down to the pool and solarium.

The 12 metre private swimming pool has steps.

Castiglione has a number of bars and shops, and 2 restaurants all within 300 metres of the villa.

In 2012 Castiglione was voted as one of the nicest villages in Italy. The walled village is strategically situated in the spectacularly scenic area known as the Garfagnana, arguably the most beautiful part of all Tuscany.

The area is well known for its excellent value restaurants, using the best of local ingredients. A typical set lunch with 4 choices of pasta course, and 4 choices of main course inclusive of bread, wine and coffee costs only 9-10 euro

It is also possible to have a multi-course traditional Sunday lunch or dinner with ample wine, coffee and liquors for around 25 euro.

Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking.

We have links with an outdoor activities company who offer guided walks and climbing, mountain biking, canoeing and world class gorge walking.

The local market town of Castelnuovo with it's good shops and railway station is only 4 miles away. It's easy to reach Lucca, Pisa and the Cinque Terre by rail.

There is an English speaking Mini-bus taxi available for airport or local trips.

    This brand new luxury villa has been designed for groups who may have wheelchair users with them, ensuring the independence of a self catering holiday for all in the beautiful Garfagnana area of Tuscany. Downstairs, at the ground level with access through the internal garage, there is a large double bedroom with easy access to a bathroom with handrails, a low sink and a wheel-in shower with a seat and rails. There is also a twin room downstairs. Inside, a Ceteco elevator can take wheelchairs to the first floor of the villa from an internal garage space. The villa has been built with extra wide doors, sliding doors and turning circles to allow easy access throughout for wheelchairs. The villa has spacious bathrooms with grab rails, shower seats and walk-in/wheel-in shower areas, and all electric switches have been positioned to ensure ease of access.
