About Mark Bradley

The apartment has been in my family for over 15 years and was my parents home for many of these years, they had been visiting Nerja ever since first discovering it in 1986!

The whole family enjoy the central location, many cafe's & restaurants, nearby beaches, and quaint old town feel to the place, the famous Balcon de Europe is only a 6 minute walk away, no matter what time of year it is always a pleasure to stay in Nerja.

Why Mark Bradley chose Nerja Town

As mentioned above the property has been within the family for many years and when my mother decided to leave we were too reluctant to loose our contact with Nerja. Joanny's a popular restaurant with anyone that knows Nerja situated just around the corner always gives you a warm welcome. Hotel 34 is a Michelin rated restaurant on the carabeo offering al fresco dining overlooking the sea (amazing)! A short stroll away are numerous quality restaurants and bars suiting all tastes. The catholic church on the Balcon de Europe is a short stroll away making the property ideal for people attending weddings. The apartment has hosted bridal parties. The central location makes accessing all that Nerja has to offer within very easy reach, no car is needed. The property once inside is all level with no steps making it very accessible for buggies and people with mobility issues. There are 3 steps outside up to the sun terrace and pool.

What makes this apartment unique

A short stroll across the road brings you to a small beach, if you walk around the rocks you are now on the main Burriana beach with its water sports, canoeing, restaurants and bars. Carlos supermarket on the Carabeo will deliver groceries to the apartment prior to your arrival. The private pool is very unusual within such a central location in Nerja and you can enjoy a glass of wine late at night on the terrace with soft outside lighting and pool light. The numerous cobbled streets of Nerja surrounding the apartment are a maze of shops,bars and restaurants which we are still exploring 20 years on. The recent installation of wifi allows guests to view any language TV and access the internet for those who need it.

Fantastic apartment in ideal location

I spent a week with my three teenage children and the following week my daughter stayed and her friends came to stay at the apartment. I felt it was a very safe place for her and her friends to stay.
We all had a wonderful holiday and can honestly say it is a superb apartment, light, spacious with all the amenities that you could wish for and very tastefully decorated throughout. The welcome pack of tea/coffee and water was greatly appreciated and the layout was very well suited for us. It is the little touches such as the lamps by the pool, the containers in the bathroom for your own items etc that make this apartment a lovely place to stay. Having a private pool was perfect and we greatly enjoyed swimming by candlelight when we lit the lamps. We also made use of the virtually empty rooftop pool at the top of the building with stunning views and all day sunshine. It was lovely in the morning to visit the local bakers and buy our breakfast croissants and pastries. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and a nice touch were the reading books available in the little bookshelf in the twin room.
The apartment is perfectly situated for beaches, local shops/restaurants and it was a very pleasant walk to both the Balcon de Europa as well as Burriana beach with its array of watersports on offer. Snorkerling trip was an especially good outing and one I would thoroughly recommend. It is our second stay at this apartment and we enjoyed it so much we hope to return again soon.
Definitely a 5 star apartment and would definitely recommend this to as a fantastic holiday destination.

The Perfect Holiday Apartment

This is an ideal apartment. It is spacious, well laid out, very well equipped and beautifully decorated. It was very clean and fresh and easy to keep clean. Everything worked. The 'welcome' tea, coffee etc was a lovely touch and the folder compiled by the owner provided all necessary local information. The private pool is a great asset, making a quick swim or a leisurely few hours extremely pleasant. The roof, complete with a virtually private pool, provides all-day sun for the worshipper and magnificent views of the sea and coast.
This apartment is ideally located, - an easy walk to the lovely beaches and close to many fine restaurants and shops. Despite being close to the action, the apartment is quiet, safe and secure.
We were a family of six adults. We had a great holiday. If any one of us was returning to Nerja, which hopefully we will, we will be checking out the availability of La Puerta Verde!

Fabulous apartment in a fabulous location

We have just returned from a family holiday here and I couldn't recommend the apartment enough. As well as being in a perfect location, the apartment itself was very spacious, light and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were all a good size and again very light and airy; the master bedroom was particularly great with its lovely en suite. It was fantastic to have a private pool, and although we didn’t use the kitchen much we did take advantage of the bbq on the poolside terrace. A bonus for us was having access to the communal roof top pool. It’s an all-day suntrap and both the pool and views were fantastic. The apartment also has 3 private sunbeds up there so it’s lovely not having to get up early to reserve sunbeds. We also enjoyed popping up to the roof terrace in the evening for a glass of wine to watch the beautiful Nerja sunset. The location of the apartment is fantastic; there is no need to hire a car as there are lovely bars and restaurants a stone’s throw away. There is also a small well stocked supermarket opposite, as well as another small supermarket, called Carlos’, around the corner which had a great variety of local meats, cheeses and fresh bread for our poolside bbqs. We enjoyed the short stroll to the Balcon de Europa and there are great restaurants and tapas bars en route to this. Burriana beach is also a short walk away and I would highly recommend the stroll down for a lunch time paella or beach side cocktail. We had a fantastic holiday and the apartment ticked all the boxes for us. We are very much looking forward to returning.

Owner's Response: It is nice to hear such praise, we strive to ensure we provide a high standard for all our guests. The apartments location does allow such ease of access to Nerja, excellent bars and restaurants are all within a very short walk, all on the level, so no hills to climb home bound.

We are really excited that this year we have been able to negotiate access to the rooftop pool and sun terrace, giving all our guests access to all day sunbathing as well as the choice of dipping into their own private pool or the roof communal pool, seldom used this additional pool has stunning views of the sea and mountains, and is a real bonus to all who stay at Puerta Verde.

We are always looking to improve the apartment, after feedback from earlier guests in April we have now installed additional drawer units to two bedrooms, and shelving in the bathrooms. Further improvements include additional internal lighting, a ceiling fan in the master bedroom and wall mounted in the second double room. A safe has now been installed, to give guests extra peace of mind. UK tv that recently stopped being aired in Spain (and France) has now been reinstated, with over 100 tv channels including many regional channels.

We also provide free wifi, so no fiddly attempts to buy internet access via paypal, it's all there.

It is really good to hear that Sophie and her family had such a great time and we look forward to their next stay at Puerta Verde.

Brilliant apartment in the perfect location

The apartment was lovely and spacious, all the rooms looked amazing. The private pool was great and when we wanted to sunbathe all day we went up to the pool area on the roof.

It's just across the road from the main beach and a short into town to check out the balcon, shops and even more beaches.

I've been back to this villa as few times as the apartment is always clean and well looked after. Also the owners are great and really helpful.

I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy Nerja to the fullest.

This year we have managed not only to add further simple improvements such as the extra bathroom shelves, drawer units, master bedroom ceiling fan but by far the best additional feature is the second pool, on the roof, providing not only another pool but all day sunbathing, with stunning sea and mountain views. A real bonus.

The Perfect Apartment

Having just returned from a 3 month winter let in this beautiful apartment, I can't recommend it highly enough. It is spacious and light but is so much more of a home than a typical rental property
The bedrooms all have ample storage, the beds are extremely comfortable and the bed linen and towels are all of good quality.
The kitchen, though compact, has all necessary facilities and is extremely workable.
The living room is very well appointed the whole apartment is very cosy in the winter months.
The outside space with pool is second to none, being spacious, private, very sheltered and having plenty of sun.
The convenience of a food store across the road, and bars and restaurants, at both ends of the scale, almost on the doorstep, as well as being a 5 minute walk to the Balcon, could not be more perfect.
The owners and the local agents responded to any request promptly and could not have been more helpful.
I completely recommend this perfect apartment.
