Beautifully finished apartment 5 minutes’ drive from Amandola. This newly converted 300-year-old stable accommodation in a traditional farmhouse retains many original features. The 90-square metre south-facing private garden terrace has stunning views of lake and mountains. It has table and chairs for al fresco dining and garden loungers for relaxing. It is completely fenced in and is safe for young children.This is the only apartment on the property so privacy is guaranteed. There is free Wifi internet. Great base for walkers/hikers/bikers. 40 minutes from Adriatic beaches/designer outlet shopping.

The apartment is arranged on one level, with two shallow steps leading into it from the front door. With thick external walls, it is naturally very cool in summer and warm in winter (there is an underfloor heating system for the cooler months). There is a 5.5-metre/18-ft above-ground swimming pool located on a separate terrace – perfect for cooling down after a long day’s sightseeing.

There are two double en-suite bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed, the other with 2 twin beds (this can be replaced by a king-size bed, if requested). The en-suite to the main bedroom has bath and separate walk-in shower; the second ensuite is a shower room. We can put an extra bed or cot in the main bedroom, if requested.

The living area is bright and comfortable with a DVD player and iPod dock and a selection of books (in English), games and DVDs. The well-equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, full oven and hob and a microwave. The dining table can seat up to six. There is a small valuables safe in the main bedroom. Insect screens have been fitted on all the windows.

All household linens and towels are provided, as well as pool/beach towels. The apartment towels are changed twice weekly, the bedlinen and pool towels are changed weekly.

The fenced south-facing private garden terrace with shaded eating area is surrounded by acres of lush farmland and has wonderful views of the mountains and the nearby lake. Our guests are also welcome to use the rest of the garden.

There are plenty of activities nearby, including horse-riding, canoeing and hiking.

We love the undiscovered nature of this region of Italy and Amandola is a lovely, unspoiled place. The local people are friendly and helpful and eating out is delicious and inexpensive. Even at the height of the summer season there is no sense of being overrun by tourists. Authentic Italy at its best!

Outstanding Accommodations With Stunning Views

We arrived at our destination and found this lovely and well maintained apartment for our 5 day stay. The 2 bedrooms were large and roomy with fantastic views of the mountains and the valley below and were able to accommodate us very well. The facility was very clean and had all of the modern conveniences one would need.
The property owners were wonderful hosts and we didn't lack for anything during our stay.
The property is located about 5 km outside of the downtown area which is a quaint little hill town and is close to many other little hill towns. It is located near the Sibillini National Park and many other attractions for a traveler to see.
The cuisine of the area is wonderful and there are many good restaurants in the area to eat at. Although we didn't eat at many restaurants, we did take the opportunity of he kitchen and cook some great meals and ate outside and enjoyed the terrific views of the surrounding landscape. Words just can't explain the panorama and how relaxing it was to sit and enjoy the vista.
I would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for an Italian countryside vacation and I will definitely return there myself in the future.
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and I couldn't have asked for better hosts. There is no question about where to stay if one is looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. It is everything one needs and more.

Remarkable in Le Marche

La Mirabella and its hosts combine for a perfect stay in Le Marche! The setting is serene and beautiful with distant mountain and lake views and vast rolling expanses. The private outdoor garden (complete with charcoal grill) is almost like another room. There is also a plunge pool for hot summer day refreshment and the screened windows provide a fresh breeze if one decides to relax inside. The apartment, tastefully renovated by the owners, is immaculate and charming with all the touches of home. The master bedroom is spacious with good light and views. The en-suite bathroom has a separate soaking tub, walk-in shower, and bidet and fresh towels twice weekly. The kitchen, dining and open living area separate the two bedrooms. The well-appointed kitchen is modern and the living areas relaxing and comfortable with plenty of light and windows opening to the garden. The second bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom including a walk-in shower and bidet. The completely renovated bathrooms are spotless and there is also a washing machine available for use if needed after a day of walking or exploring the area. Other amenities include a DVD library, games, guidebooks and hosts who speak English, Dutch, German, Italian and French. Speaking of our hosts, Carel and Fiona are gracious and committed to bringing joy to their guests from the delicious breakfast ingredients in the refrigerator on arrival, including homemade plum and fig jam, to the surprise Lemon Cake they served on my birthday. They yield to privacy but also are there to recommend restaurants, day trips around the beautiful Amandola area, and keep a clean and comfortable accommodation. You will not find a better value in this remarkable area of Italy. We look forward to our next visit!

Perfect autumn walking holiday!

With another couple, we wanted to find an apartment in Italy for a walking holiday in a beautiful area without too much tourists. A new Ryanair flight from Oslo to Pescara brought us to Le Marche. It was an easy drive from the airport to La Mirabella and we had no problem with the good driving directions. When we arrived in that place we found our walking paradise! The Amandola area is one of the charming and beautiful places in the world.

The scenery is amazing. So beautiful and peaceful and no people. The apartment is on the border of a national park with many walks to choose, we knew that one week was not enough for us. After the first day we wished we came for two weeks to make all the great walks. Monte Sibilla was the best! The apartment owners (Carel and Fiona) are so nice and friendly and helpful in everything, with a good guidebook and walking map of the area to give us. They made a list with information of 10 walks from the apartment so on some days you don’t need to drive the car. They think of everything for walkers – the apartment has a rack for shoes and boots, hanging places for coats, and a place outside to wash our boots. The swimming pool is not large but is nice for cooling down after a walking day in the mountains.

The apartment has fantastic views and is perfect quiet. It is so clean and the beds are great. The bathrooms are very fine and the towels were changed again after 3 days. Our kitchen had everything in it, just like home. When we came it was after midnight, but there was food for breakfast in the fridge and a pot of Fiona’s delicious plum jam. The windows have insect screens (in other places in Italy we stayed with no screens) so we could have fresh air for sleeping. The private garden has amazing views and is very quiet and relaxing. There are so many great local restaurants with perfect food and good prices. When we asked Carel and Fiona about restaurants they recommended and booked so it was so easy for us. They booked a winery tour for us too. For us they are the perfect hosts. The price is very good value for a wonderful apartment. We wish we could keep it a secret, because we want to book again.

Thank you to Carel and Fiona for a perfect walking holiday. September weather was wonderful and we will be back next autumn again (and maybe even for some spring walking too). Tusen takk!

What a find! So glad we found this gem

Having made a very last-minute booking for Christmas and the New Year we really landed on our feet in what turned out to be the very first holiday let in this lovely newly-refurbished apartment. The owners went out of their way to make our stay memorable, from providing a very generous welcome pack full of Italian Christmas goodies, to inviting us for a drink in their home on New Year’s Eve. The apartment was extremely clean and well furnished and very warm and comfortable. Everything, from the showers to the oven, worked properly, which made a welcome change from a lot of holiday lets we’ve been to. The great weather really contributed to a happy holiday – most days we were able to eat lunch outside enjoying the amazing views of the snow-capped mountains. We went for lots of easy walks around the lake and in the hills. Our daughter was interested in horse-riding from the nearby stables but was too lazy in the end to actually do it. Beautiful small cities that we’d never heard of (Fermo and Ascili Picino) within a 40-minute drive, were recommended by the owners as being worth a visit, and they really were. We did a lot of cooking but we also ventured out a few times to some of the great and amazingly reasonably priced restaurants in the area. We were so sorry to leave, but unfortunately had to get back to reality. This is a beautiful place in the middle of winter and we’d love to make a return visit in the summer, if Fiona and Carl will have us!

The apartment is set in the rolling foothills of the Sibillini mountain range, a short drive from the National Park, with its opportunities for walking, hiking and lake swimming. Horse-riding, canoeing, pedal-boating, and gentle walks by the lake and river are 2 minutes away. Amandola has good clay tennis courts that can be pre-booked and a new gym (no membership necessary – you can purchase vouchers for as many visits as you wish). The local wineries encourage wine-tasting visits, and truffle-hunting (in season) can be arranged. There are excellent restaurants nearby, many of them in the beautiful hilltop towns that abound in the area. In the summer season there are food festivals almost every weekend, and you can take in the atmosphere at the many medieval and jousting festivals. There are examples of Renaissance art around every corner, and there are many opportunities to enjoy music and opera. If you just want to relax and chill out, you can watch the world go by over a coffee or prosecco, and visit the local markets.
