"Mio Giardino Romano", the apartment of a Roman photographer, will delight you with its blend of modern art and historic detail, like its original tiled floors, and lovely antique pieces of furniture. Its three rooms, living room, bedroom, and large, eat-in, kitchen are all spacious and light-filled. It's special treat is the private garden, where you can enjoy meals outdoors through many months of Rome's beautiful weather. The apartment is perfect for a couple or for a family, as the living room has two sofa beds, suitable for two children.
You can stroll narrow, cobbled streets lined by medieval houses, bars and restaurants. It's neighborhood is both quiet and and active with some of Rome's best neighborhood restaurants offering excellent value, and either traditional or creative cuisine. We will be pleased to furnish you with a list. Outdoor markets and both charming and funky shops line the streets, too. At night both Romans and foreigners flock here. A visit to the historic fifth century Church of Santa Cecilia is a must. The church of Santa Maria in Cappella can be seen from your window. Take a short walk across the Ponte Garibaldi and you are in Rome's Historic Center, and the Piazza Farnese, the Campo di Fiori. You are also a adjacent to the Isola di Tiberina (Tiber Island), historic and charming. Mio Giardino Romano will make you want to stay in Rome forever.
The apartment is just across the river in Trastevere but you feel like you have escaped to the country side. The garden in the back is fantastic. We even got to enjoy fresh lemons off the tree. Cristina greeted us when we arrived and took the time to show us not only around the apartment but around the neighborhood. She showed us where to eat dinner and where to get the best bread and cappuccino (and it was the best cappuccino we had the entire time we were in Rome!) Would highly recommend this apartment.
Me, my husband and my parents stayed here for 9 days in June. We loved the place and instantly felt at home. Plenty space for 4 adults and it was very well equipped, everything we needed was there. It is also furnished with great art and antiques giving lots of character. The garden is a great asset, secluded with plenty shade and a beautiful lemon tree and a drinking water font. We sat out most nights, and one night we heard most of the Rolling Stones concert which was taking place at the Circus Maximus. A small bonus! The location was ideal. At night we stayed local and visited bars and restaurants all within a few minutes walk but during the day we walked for miles visiting the sights, it was a good balance. Our favourite local restaurant was Trattoria da Teo. Great food and very relaxed atmosphere. We also enjoyed the local Indian restaurant and take away pizza from Pizzeria dei Marmi, by repute the best pizza in Rome.
The owner was incredibly helpful and knowledgable about the area. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The garden was lovely a real haven from the hustle and bustle of Rome.
The location of the apartment is ideal for seeing all the sites and yet tucked away in a quiet little street. Plenty of good restaurants just a stones throw away.
We had a great experience in this apartment in Trastevere. From the moment we arrived, the owners Christina and Pasquale, were very friendly and hospitable. They immediately made us feel at home and even took us on a walking tour of the neighborhood and bought us breakfast. The apartment is roomy, nicely furnished and has a beautiful outdoor garden which was prefect for breakfast or enjoying some vino in the evening. It was located near some great restaurants as well as local artists shops. It was an easy walk across the Tiber river to the historic center. It made for a Great Roman Holiday!
