Magical setting:
My home is located facing the ocean and the wildlife sanctuary. It is private, quiet, serene and can be very romantic as well as very suitable for a family or two to share. Wraparound decks and screen porch offer many choices of places to read, talk and gaze at the scenery in groups or in privacy. Watch peaceful, spectacular sunsets that you'll never forget as the sky turns pink and the sun disappears into the bay. Fire Island is a very special place like no other in the world. Yet, it is so close to New York City and all its excitement. a wonderful place for families to make memories and for children to build on them. My three children treasure the summers they spent here and return often to have their children experience the same. Drawing on the sidewalk with colored chalk, collecting seashells, painting on rocks, reading. All the pleasures of a simple and shared summer to make memories that last forever.
From a guest summer 2006--We had a great time at your house. Actually, a great time isn't really the right way to describe it. It was idyllic. It was exactly the kind of experience I always imagined for the kids--the freedom to run around and explore without visible parental interference. They made sand castles; they had water fights; they collected shells; they painted shells; they rode back and forth to the bay. They exhausted themselves in the surf. It was beyond my greatest expectations. How often in life does that happen? Unfortunately, I'm already back into the very busy fall schedule and Robbins Rest is just a beautiful memory.
