This unique property is situated above beautiful Wailea Bay on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, one of the few white sand beaches on the island of Hawaii. This designer home is perfect for family and friends. It features newly hand-painted and hand-designed tiles that bring the tropics of the outdoors to the inside. The ocean view kitchen boasts hand-painted tiles and sea life. For your dining pleasure, there is an outdoor patio/lanai under the trees, just off the kitchen. This is a four bedroom home with four garden showers. One of the bedrooms is located in a private upstairs, screened gazebo above a beautiful lava waterfall!

Pattie Freeman, Real Estate Broker has been managing and renting this home since the Owner's purchased it. We have all since become close friends and enjoy the home when the family is at this villa. The families children have been coming there on a regular basis since they were 3 and 5 years old. They have a family tradition of spending days in the bay swimming and playing in the sand on the beautiful beach. Their family time is spent relaxing and at the home and cooking their own meals with the open air kitchen facing the bay. They find it a time to reconnect and get back to nature!

The owner of this home chose it because of the superb location on Wailea Bay also known as Beach 69 in the small community of Puako between the Mauna Lani and Mauna Kea Resorts. The location is extremely private and has the feeling of remoteness with resorts near by. It is easy to get swim in this beautiful protected bay.

What makes this villa unique

This home was designed for outdoor living with two outdoor dining patios facing the bay. Private garden showers add to the tropical experience of this home under the multitude of coconut palm trees and stars at night. Enjoy the glow of the moon and stars on the bay from your private setting and during the day watch snorkelers go by or join them to see the abundant sea life including Hawaiian Sea Turtles. The original tiled art work throughout the home is 3 dimensional and each bathroom and kitchen has it's own tropical theme. Very nice linens and good quality beds make for great sleep with the sound of the palm trees and lapping of the waves against the sandy beach!

Amazing Tranquility and Peace

Our stay with our family offered us so many options to enjoy the ocean, snorkel, relax in the hammocks, find a quiet space or gather for lunch and dinner around the big outdoor table! We cooked and BBQ'd together and had tons of fun! One of the best family vacations we have ever experienced and this was a very special time for us to be together to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary! Our two grandchildren had plenty of places to play in the grassy, shaded yard which faces the ocean. The sound of the soft waves relaxed us into a very sweet sleep every night. We will be back! Pattie arranged for a private chef for the celebration of our anniversary and next time we might have the chef every night!
We also treated ourselves to massages by professionals who came to our home and even a private yoga class! Aina Malia is one of the best kept secrets on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island!
