I have been successfully managing seasonal vacation property on Martha's Vineyard for over 30 years. I try to provide accommodations that I would enjoy visiting myself. I do my best to be as responsive as possible to guests comfort and enjoyment during their vacation.

This rental is a certified national historic property. It is the first commercial building built in the town. It looks virtually the same on the outside today as it did in 1862 when it was built. On the inside it has been modernized but remains faithful to its historic origins. The location is unsurpassed for guests looking to be centrally located in one of the most unique towns in the country.

The property has three units and is one tallest buildings in the town. The top floor occupies the entire floor with 360 degree views over the town and the ocean. It has a wonderful covered porch in the front overlooking the main street and a more private deck on the side with a grill and table/chairs. It has a bright sunny living room, a regular bedroom, and a second loft sleeping area. The second floor unit in the front has tall ceilings, two regular bedrooms, an eat in kitchen, and an amazing large covered porch overlooking the main street providing the best people watching spot in town. The third unit is currently unavailable for summer rental.

LOVELY LOCATION AND AMENITIES!

  • 5 of 5
Our stop on Martha's Vineyard was one of many along the Northeast coast and we could not have been more impressed and pleased with this rental. Not only was the location right in the heart of downtown but the living quarters were stellar. We stayed on the 2nd floor and could not say enough about the space: large kitchen, amazing deck with grill, large living room, and on and on. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are back on the Vineyard!

VERY CLEAN, CENTRAL LOCATION, AND DOG FRIENDLY

  • 4 of 5
Very clean and well stocked. Central location with lots of restaurants and shops. Two issues were parking and noise. There is no parking so you have to walk a ways to your unit. Also, directly above a bar that is very loud and noisy.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH PROPERTY.

  • 4 of 5
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the property. It's location is perfect within walking distance to everything you need. We didn't take or hire a car and didn't feel one needed. It's right above a bar called sharkeys which became our favorite little hang out! The property is very well secure, well kept, clean and fully stocked w

THE PERFECT LABOR DAY

  • 5 of 5
This review is LONG overdue! My boyfriend and I stayed at Larry's historic property over Labor Day weekend and loved every minute, even with cool/dicey weather. The apartment is very big and can easily sleep 5. It was clean, bright, and well kept. We brought our bikes on the ferry and there was ample room to store them safely inside when we were not out riding. The location is ideal right in the center of town, and deck alone makes the rental worth a visit. Given the weather, we enjoyed a lot of time just sitting on the deck, playing some music and watching the bustle below, it was perfectly relaxing. Larry, the owner, was very easy to communicate with, and accommodating, even calling on our way home to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We will absolutely stay there again, and are already looking at dates to book in 2014!

UNBEATABLE ISLAND RETREAT

  • 5 of 5
As a party of three middle-aged women, we thought we wanted to rent a ginger bread cottage with a charming porch for a weekend getawy. But those owners were all non responsive to our inquiries. Ironically, each of us, indepently, was drawn to this rental. It wasn;t what we had originally envisioned but the owner was so responsive and had so many positive reviews that we took it. A big thank you goes out to the cottage folks as we ended up with the "Crown Jewel". This gracious, historic building immediately charmed us as we entered. The second floor lobby with its original architecture made for an easy stop before we ascended the stairs to the third floor unit. Expecting it to be small, we were absolutely amazed by the spaciousness of the apartment with vaulted ceilings and,the absolute icing on the cake, a porch overlooking the street with breathtaking views of the water. We had found exactly what we were looking for. But, where was the grill? Oh, there just happens to be a second deck with table and chairs, also with a peek at the water! To be polite, I let my friends have the spacious single bedroom with a queen and twin bed and climbed up to the loft. This cozy area has two twin beds, two small dressers, a reading lamp and two skylights. This was the best nights sleep I had ever had which was made even better with rain and wind on our second night (note to Larry, I did close the skylight) This rental has everything you could possible want with the most important being location, location, location. Shops and restaurants are literally at your feet, and the beach and ferries are a two to three minute walk, yet once you are "home" there is no noise to disturb you, All of us are experienced travelers and the consensus was that this rental is outstanding. Thank you Larry for allowing us to stay in this rental. We will definitely be back!
