Rental on beautiful Pleasant Bay, Cape Cod

This was the 4th time I have stayed at this vacation rental with family and friends. The property is a good value considering the level of privacy and the access to the waters of Pleasant Bay via a path to a private beach and the walking proximity to a town landing for launching boats and shellfishing. Over the years, I have gone sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, motor boating, biking, and shellfishing for softshell and quaohog clams right from the property. The local roads are also good for running and walking, we walked around with a stroller and 1 year old child. The owner was very accomodating of parking a boat trailer on site and helping a friend with a low-tide launch which went wrong. Some of the appliances like the dishwasher and clothes washer could use updating to much lower water use models, as the septic system on the property cannot handle a lot of use, maybe new models would help to alleviate this problem a bit. The property is a short drive from swimming in the clear and fresh waters of the Crystal Lake and Pilgrim Lake Ponds. Orleans Center is not too far either and offers a good coffee house (The Chocolate Sparrow) and the best restaurant which is reasonable and you can get a table at even during weekends is Coast which is at the intersection of Rt 6A and 28.
