With the arrival of spring, the city of Funchal becomes a heady floral stage full of charms.
This magical event begins on Saturday morning with the children's Parade, in which hundreds of children, dressed the precept, parade to the Town Hall square to compose a beautiful mural of flowers symbolically named by 'wall of hope'.
On Sunday afternoon, the streets of downtown Funchal are invaded from music, color and gentle perfumes with the sumptuous parade of floats, which harmoniously combine multiple species with floral decorations full of creativity.
Alongside these events follows a set of playful and recreational activities full of charm and symbolism, such as the development of delicate floral carpets in Central boards, music concerts, performances of folklore groups and the flower Exhibition in Largo da Restauração.
