A lovely, homey setting!

  • 5 of 5
We enjoyed a pleasant stay in the flat’s serene and beautiful setting, surrounded by a lovely yard, next to the park, with glimpses of the castle through the trees. A 20 minute walk down to the popular beach, Cala Major, Porto Pi, and the major supermarkets. The landlords were wonderful hosts and a delight to become acquainted with. A wonderfully quaint and surprisingly rural feeling experience so close to Palma.

A great place for holidays!

  • 5 of 5
What should I say,
we had exactly the same experiences as San C.! My Girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The rooms are cute and nice, very clean and there is also a great garden...feels a little bit like in a dream. The owners are very kind and gave us a lot of good tips. Thank you for that!!! We had a great time in Palma... the beach, the weather, the people. But there is one thing you should know: After your stay in this apartment, you want to live there forever;)

Elena and Juan, I hope we see us soon!
Best wishes
Stef

Home away from home!

  • 5 of 5
My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the Bonanova.
Despite of the fact that the apartment is attached to the large house, there's no need to worry about one's privacy. The apartment is very nice and clean, full of fine literature and pieces of art. The bedroom is large with an also large and comfortable king-sized bed. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary utensils and it is simply a pleasure to enjoy breakfast or dinner on the beautiful terrace in front of the apartment.

Bonanova is located a few stops by bus outside of Palma, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to go into town for some sightseeing or a few cocktails at the night (approximately 15 min) - a taxi will only cost around 10 EUR. Cala Major, the local and very beautiful beach, is within walking distance and the calmer beaches of illetes are not too far away, either.
There's also a bakery, which bakes fresh bread rolls and buns every morning, just around the corner.

The two owners - Elena and Juan - are very kind and helpful people: always into some chit-chat or even long and delightful conversations, without being intrusive! We were invited to enjoy a few glasses of wine with them every now and then and were lucky to get a taste of Elena's great cooking skills...

All in all, Bonanova is a definitely one of the best places we used to stay while beeing on vacation! It is really worth going there: a beautiful apartment owned by beautiful people!! We are going to come back one day, for sure.

This was a lovely home to stay in!

  • 5 of 5
I truly enjoyed my 5-week stay in this lovely apartment. The view outside of the living room window overlooks the host family's beautiful garden, private pool, and the Bellver Castle. I always felt safe in the home, which has a locked gate, as well as in the area of the neighborhood. There is a bus stop just outside of the home's gate, which is extremely convenient when traveling throughout Mallorca. It is possible to walk from the home to the beach (approximately 30 min walk). The owners are extremely gracious and welcoming, and are very responsive to guests' needs (laundry, cleaning services, advice about the local area, etc.). They even offered to pick us up from the airport for a fee lower than a taxi, and drove us throughout the local area so that we could become familiarized without getting lost.

There is a living room area (with a sofa and small dining table), a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. I shared the space with a friend, and we found that it was definitely large enough to accommodate for both of us and our belongings. The terrace outside is a lovely place to sit and read in the sun, as well. I loved that this guest apartment (which is attached to the owners' main home) does not feel like a hotel, but rather has a cozy lived-in atmosphere. There is Wifi available, and the thick walls of the home keep the inside at a very comfortable temperature despite the hot weather outside. No need for a fan or air conditioning!

Overall, my stay in this apartment was above and beyond what I had expected. The owners' are so friendly and their property is gorgeous. The price was affordable, and I certainly felt that I received more than my money's worth. I would recommend staying in this apartment rather than a hotel, especially if you are interested in a cultural experience. This truly became my "home in Mallorca." The owners are extremely generous, and even provided us with fresh herbs from their garden for hot tea when we were feeling a little "under the weather." I encourage you to contact the owners if you are interested in renting, and I hope that you enjoy your stay if you choose this beautiful apartment!

Wonderful experience in beautiful garden apartment

  • 5 of 5
This is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Mallorca and want a cultural experience in a beautiful and quiet apartment with an easy walk to the local downtown and beach area. I booked this apartment to stay for a month while studying at a local college on the island. From the moment we arrived the owners were so helpful and welcoming. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and an extended stay. A huge highlight is the bus stop right outside the front door that can take you right into the Palma center city area, toward the beaches on the western coast or to Plaza Espana to catch a bus to any of the other areas in Mallorca. The closest beach and restaurant area is only a mile away and an easy walk. There is a cafe down the road that has amazing bakery items, coffee and a small section of groceries and household items. The owners were very accommodating for any needs we had and gave us maps of the bus routes and even a quick tour of the surrounding area so we knew where to find things. The beds were very comfortable and clean and the apartment was full of light and stayed quite cool, even on the hottest days. The bathroom was also very clean and always had hot water and good water-pressure in the shower. The owners have hundreds of books in different languages lining the walls and original art hung throughout which lends to the experience of being in Spain. Overall our stay was amazing and I'm so glad we found this apartment! Many of the other students studying with us stayed in the condos near the beach and paid much higher rent, extra charges for Wifi, and had things break down on them during their stay. We felt very at home here and feel that we really got to experience life on the island staying in this apartment.

Gemütliche kleine Wohnung mit traumhafter Terrasse

  • 5 of 5
