This one of the first build brick houses, originating from the sixteenth century, is restored 14 years ago and now available for rent.

This three storey building in located in the old heart of Amsterdam on the former 'Nieuwe Zijds Achterburgwal', now Spuistraat.

Big oak wooden beams which formed the structure of this and neighboring house can be seen in the shop on the ground floor and the first floor of this apartment, The roof shows the pine beams, all brought up and cut by hand to create an original roof for this house. The house is semi luxury, luxury for being a fine example of one of the first brick houses in Amsterdam and being very central, not luxury, as the house was kept as simple as it was originally build, so no fancy kitchen and bathroom, but see for yourselves. The house sleeps 6 person maximum, two rooms with two double beds, which can act as doubles, one sofabed in the attic.

Room in the front of the house could be a bit noisy, as life always goes on in this part of Amsterdam. The house is located on the border of one of the small Red Light Districts Amsterdam has, but you will not be bothered by that.

Spuistraat it is a safe area in walking distance of the Central Station and Dam Square and close to all the public transport you would need to find your way in Amsterdam.
