Sixty feet of sandy waterfront, private boat dock, and a spectacular view... The Ultimate Northwood's Experience!! Luxurious two-bedroom, two-bath cottage with sleeping loft sits literally on the edge of beautiful Star Lake.

Star Lake is crystal clear with a sandy bottom and is rated a Class "A" lake for both fishing and swimming. This 1,200-acre lake has only 35 homes, is surrounded by the 220,000 acre Northern Highland State Forest, and has plenty of Loons and Bald Eagles.

The Big Dipper Cabin was completely renovated from top to bottom in 2006, and will provide the the ultimate vacation experience!

We have stayed at The Big Dipper for the past 6 years. Its very clean, right on the water, it has everything you need to cook etc..love the washer & dryer. There are normally 7-8 of us, plenty of sleeping space, having 2 bathrooms is awesome. The kitchen table is large enough for everyone to eat at, hang out, or play games. The deck has a nice platio set also. The Little Dipper next door is just as nice, very clean, steps from the water. We have had other family stay there in the past. There is also a very nice pontoon boat for rent. The caretakers are great people and live nearby if you need anything. The owners are great people to work with also. We look forward to many more years at The Dippers in Star Lake.
