The Cabot Trail's most spectacular pebble beach is yours at Wreck Cove on the east coast of Cape Breton Island. There are 75 acres of ocean front, including the beach pictured here, and mountain wilderness to explore on natural hiking trails every season of the year. We also invite you to swim in the spring-fed pond and savour the produce from the vegetable and flower gardens in season. Our 6-year-old building offers a beautiful lodging with one separate bedroom with queen-sized bed, a double futon in the lounge, a complete kitchen and dining area, and a full bath with laundry facilities. The accommodation is furnished with care and attention to detail to accommodate 4 in comfort and privacy. We also offer the use of a games room in a separate building with a ping-pong table, professional pool table, darts and foosball.

Wreck Cove is at the centre of Cape Breton's premier attractions, minutes to Highlands National Park with its fabulous sand beaches, hiking trails and stunning rocky shores. It is close to kayak rentals, whale watching, sailing adventures, 2 world class golf courses, the Gaelic College, and fine restaurants in Ingonish and the village of Baddeck. We are also an easy day-trip from other attractions on the island such as the Fortress of Louisburg. The fall in by the sea is long and beautiful, bask in the warm autumn sun of Cape Breton and marvel at the magnificent colours along the Cabot Trail. Also, during the week of October 8-16th enjoy the music and fun of the Celtic Colours International Festival that draws Celtic musicians from all over the world. In the winter snowshoe and cross country ski right out the cottage door along kilometres of gorgeous trails or down-hill ski where the eagles fly at Ski Cape Smokey just 20 minutes away.

It was great cozy cottage with good size bedroom. great trails for outdoor lovers good for snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer close to Ingonish and Cape Breton highlands park. with great cross country skiing. nice views of the ocean and the highlands with private trails leading through the hills. .
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway

We stayed in the cottage loft over studio. We could hear the ocean and smell the beautiful pristine air. Beautiful gardens surround the property along with many walking trails. We had our Westie with us and he enjoyed his walks. This property offers many possibilities for you...If you are looking for relaxation and beauty...this is the place..

I was recently telling a friend about our stay at Singing Pebbles as they will be in the area in September of this year and I recalled what a glorious experience we had staying here for a week in the summer of 2006. We did not want to leave - it felt like home and Jitka and Gilbert and ALL the animals were wonderful. We do hope to return someday.

Thank you Jitka & Gilbert for you kind hospitality during our stay at Singing Pebbles.We so enjoyed our holiday on Cape Breton. We felt totaly at home and relaxed .We especially enoyed the wild life watching the whales from the deck. seeing the moose on the trail where else in the world can you bold eagles and humming birds the wild life was wonderful.Thank you for all extra special touches the flowers and the delicious apple pie it was very much apprecited .Singing Pebbles is a perfect base to explore Cape Breton from. Anyone thinking of renting this property you will not be disappointed if you want please contact me Hopefuly we will return one day David & Kathy Gatrell

We had a wonderful stay. We went to the beach, walked the paths, drove the trail, visited Baddeck, were chased by the geese, and had a table-tennis trournament in the games room. The weathere varied from sunny and warm to rainy and cool. We enjoyed the gardens and admired Jitka's pottery, Gilbert's woodcarving skills. We hope to be back soon!
