This Cozy Rustic Cabin on a private pond is located on North Road, a dead-end dirt road, off the Pikes Falls Road. This is a quiet retreat in the summer, ideal for a couple or small family. In the ski season, it provides compact convenient housing for avid skiers. The cabin features a stand-up kitchen, a combined living/eating area with an Avalon fireplace wood stove insert and a long window that looks out on Stratton Mountain and the pond. There are two sleeping areas: a master bedroom with a queen bed and a bath with a shower and a sleeping nook with double bunkbeds. There is a second split bathroom with a toilet in one room and a shower room with a sink in another room across the hall. Outside, a deck wraps around the pond side of the cabin. This is a cozy dwelling sometimes referred to as a 'hobbit house' or 'boatlike'. It is comfortable for a family with a couple of children.

Notes: People often refer to this Cabin as a Hobbit House or 'boat-like.' It has lots of nooks and crannies and has a couple of child sized spaces. The pond is eight feet deep in the middle with a gravel bed and is brook and spring fed. It is a lovely place to swim. There is a small row-boat on the 3/4 acre pond for children and parents to use.
