private and serene with plenty of space

I rented this home late August '08 for a birthday gathering. All of us were extremely pleased at the condition and location of the home. It was beyond spotless! It's design including expanses of glass, skylights, and soaring living area ceiling were well-thought, and the home's site nestled in the trees of the landscape was perfect. The great room, dining, and kitchen areas flow nicely together for easy and all-inclusive entertaining. The outdoor spaces, multi-level deck, fire pit and water front/dock areas are perfect for slipping away for some quiet time. The pictures don't exactly do the home justice, as we found the kitchen to be larger than it appears in the photos, and it's impossible to capture the wide open space of the great room, the bright sky-lit ceilings, or the layout interior and exterior alike in a photo.
Having the use of a kayak and canoe further enhanced our experience, as we now have 3 new kayak converts in our family! Gliding silently on the crystal clear pond's surface was calming beyond words. The serenity was never interrupted by the sound of any cars or other distractions.
We speculated at how beautiful this setting must be during the winter months. Building a fire in the great room fireplace while watching the snow fall through the trees would be beautiful without a doubt. Adding the calm and serenity of winter would further enhance this location for snow lovers.
This home is perfect for anyone who enjoys quality, cleanliness, and the beauty of an unspoiled environment all in a gorgeous, large home. It has all you need to enjoy anything from jigsaw puzzles to a lively cocktail party, with plenty of room to move about. The necessities are provided, including washer and dryer, as well as all kitchen needs, towels, and linens. I would not hesitate booking this home for friends and / or family, all would enjoy.
The home's owner was quick to respond to my inquiries, and very helpful. Having rented many vacation homes through realtors, I could not believe the difference in working with the individual owner. I'm sure not all rental home owners are nowhere near as organized, friendly, or helpful as this home's. I received my security deposit check back within days!
I simply cannot say enough about this home and the experience, so I'll stop now.
