Mahogany wood floors though out living area! Large welcoming foyer!

Great get away house, very reasonably priced for my group. Manchester is 10 minutes away with tons to do and londonderry is just down the hill. House is tucked away in a beautiful peace of property. My friends and I went down the the Brooke and walk along the water and enjoyed the wildlife. We all will rent this house again and have nothing but great things to say about our stay.
We couldn't have had nicer accommodations for a relaxing get together with our young adult children who gathered from different parts of the country for a week in Vermont. We had plenty of space for the nine of us (and our dog)! The location is quiet and private in a lovely woodsy setting. The living space is very comfortable and casual, yet elegant at the same time. We could eat out on the deck in short sleeves during the day and be cozy around the fireplace in the evening.
The kitchen was very well equipped, and there were 2 sizable grocery stores in nearby Manchester, so it was easy to prepare meals. There are lots of restaurants nearby as well. We enjoyed Chauncey's in Arlington, but all the restaurants looked inviting. There are also lots of interesting shops, galleries, and historic spots in the area--way too many to see in a week.
Our family also enjoyed boating, fishing, and hiking at nearby Hapgood Pond, just down the road from the house, and at Emerald Lake State Park, which is just north of Manchester. We didn't get a chance to try out the summer recreational options at Bromley ski area, but there was a lot to do there as well.
Overall, the location of this house is great because there is plenty to do and see in the area, but you can also just relax and have fun at the house. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the property was well maintained. I highly recommend this rental!
I have rented this house numerous times over the last few years and it is always a pleasure to come back. The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable. It has an open floor plan on the main level and beautiful French doors leading out to a huge wraparound porch. If sitting out, you’ll hear the babbling brook which runs in the back of the property. It’s very relaxing and private, but close enough to all sorts of activities, shopping or restaurants, so there’s really something to please just about everyone here. It’s moments away from Hapgood Pond, which is great for swimming in the summertime, or visiting in the other seasons for its beauty. You will not be disappointed if you rent this house, with terrific views of Mount Bromley.
Great place to stay! Loved the house, clean, very well taken care of. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans which made cookouts for many people on the deck easy. House fits 10 no problem, with the large living room this place made for a great home away from home. Just far enough out of town to be quiet but not far enough that I minded the drive to and from town. Johnny Seasaw's is 1 mile away and the food was by far the best in town, so that made a huge plus. There is a lake 1/2 mile down the road which was great for a lazy Monday of no horse showing. No complaints about no air conditioning, the wooded area made for a breeze and the place stayed very cool. Owners very easy to deal with and considerate people, I definitely will be staying here again in the future.
Perfect VT get away! Huge wrap around porch with babbling brook along the side of the house. Hapgood Pond Recreation is down the road for hiking, fishing & canoeing. Manchester is 10 minutes away with awesome outlet shopping & lots of restaurants. Skiing at bromley is the best for families. loved loved loved this house!! Can't wait to get back!
