A spacious and comfortable farmhouse-villa in the countryside inland from Cala D'Or. Ses Deu Quarterades is a lovely house with a large garden and fenced pool, very close to the pretty beach of Cala Sanau, and just a couple of minutes' drive from Cala D'Or itself.

Inside, there's lots of welcoming and relaxing space with white walls and cool floor tiles. On the ground floor there's a double-height hall leading up to a balcony. The living and dining room has double doors out to the pool and covered terrace, comfortable sofas around a wood-burning stove, a tv and a dining table and chairs.

The farmhouse-kitchen is a great space with doors out onto the terrace, a dining table, and appliances including a dishwasher, a microwave and an oven and hob with extractor-hood. There's a separate laundry room. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms; a double and a pretty bedroom with twin beds, and a family bathroom to share.

On the first floor there's a gorgeous double bedroom suite with an en-suite bathroom in stone and marble. There's a second sitting area leading to a covered roof-terrace with views over the pool to the sea. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned.

The garden is wonderfully relaxing and private. There's a swimming pool surrounded by terraces, Mediterranean plants and lots of fruit trees - pears, figs, quinces, olives and almonds. There's a great casita pool-house with a barbecue cooking-area, and a covered dining terrace by the kitchen and living room. The property also has a gated driveway.

Villa Ses Deu Quarterades is a wonderful house in pretty and peaceful countryside very close to the coast. It's just a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive to Cala Sanau - a lovely beach in a rocky cove, with a beach-bar, and cliff-top walks with gorgeous views out to sea. Cala D'Or itself is also just 2km away so in a couple of minutes you can drive to the marina, more great beaches, smart shops, cafés and restaurants.

S'Horta, nestled on the outskirts of Cala D'Or, is an atmospheric traditional Spanish village with narrow streets, a beautiful church and several restaurants, shops and bars. S'Horta is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts and cyclists because it is so close to some of the best sights on the island of Mallorca. The 14th century Sanctuary de la Mare de Due de Sant Salvador and Castell de Santueri offer magnificent views across the island, while the nearby hamlet of Calonge has a variety of shops and superb restaurants. For beaches, S'Horta is just as convenient, one of Mallorca's finest sandy coves, Cala Sa Nau, is a favourite with the locals, while the busier resorts and superb Cala D'Or and Porto Colom are just down the road.
