Walk through protected conservation moors and dunes to find sandy, pristine private beaches on the quiet and open south side of the Atlantic Ocean. Comfortable year-round home located in Hummock Pond of Nantucket. It is a one-story cottage tucked away with pine trees, bayberry and rosa rugosa as buffers. Large private side yard . Home is a replica of a Sconset cottage and is 'H' shaped with a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, large walk-in closet, French doors to back deck . The newly remodeled master bath with old-fashioned claw foot tub and separate walk in shower is fanastic. On the other side is two separate guest rooms, both with two twin beds with full bath.Cathedral ceiling encompasses living room, dining area and fully furnished kitchen with French doors to back deck. Wide pine floors complete this Nantucket Cottage. Home is completely furnished, all new kitchen appliances, just bring your bathing suits! Enclosed outside shower when you get back from the beach.

Beach, sun bathe, rollerblading, bike ride, nature walk, birding or swim on sunny days. On the cloudy days, shop till you drop in historic and quaint downtown (about a mile square) Main street where you'll find many unusual shops; there are many historic buildings and museums open to the public; there are man good to excellent restaurants on this island. If you care to stay home and barbecue, within a mile of the cottage you have a fresh fish market, a winery/brewery/distillery (called Cisco naturally) and the largest fresh fruit/vegetable farm on the island with a bakery, groceries and sundry other items including prepared foods. There is over 50 miles of some of the best beaches in the world to explore; all kinds of fishing, boating, surfing (surfers love Cisco beach!); there are bike paths that cover most of the island. Mostly it's a place to kick back and relax! Cisco beach is one of the ten best beaches in the world!

  • The over sized recently renovated Master Bathroom has a glass beaded old fashion claw foot tub for your soaking pleasure as well as a large seperate full walk in shower enclosed in a glass block. Simply fantastic !There are double sinks for your convenience. Tucked away behind louvered doors is a full size stack washer and dryer. The guest bathroom has a combination tub and shower.

Additional Information: There is an attached shed for storage of bikes or personal items. In there you will find beach chairs, coolers, grill, beach toys and boogie boards for your use. New refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave for 2006 season. New couch and love seat for 2007 season, as well as a new Anderson slider for back deck. Renovated master bath with old fasjion claw foot tub and seperate full shower. This Cisco Beach section of Nantucket has been voted the best beach on the island. As a matter of fact it have been voted one of the ten best beaches in the world!!!! Surfers love this south side of the island due to the great waves from the Atlantic. This Hummock Pond enclave is ideal for families with young children as it offers privacy and private roads to the beach.

September '09 Special: September is the best month on Nantucket. The Altantic Ocean has finally warmed up; all the restaurants , shops, and attractions are all open. Generally the rates have dropped accordingly. The only thing missing are the crowds and cars of August.

Repeat Clients: To encourage families to come back each year, I offer the same rate if they book early for the following year.

Other Activities: 50 miles of continuous beaches, can bring 4-wheel drive vehicle on to beach

I stayed for two weeks in July and it was wonderful!! - the cottage is enchanted and very comfortable - it had everything I needed just like home and very clean. The ocean was a short walk from the cottage - what a wonderful beach = clean and uncrowded - I've made my reservations for next year already!!
