A stylish and spacious country villa with a round tower, within minutes of the wonderful sandy beach and cove of Cala Sanau - with fantastic child-friendly swimming and a beach-bar. Finca Sanau is a lovely house with sprawling private gardens and a wonderful swimming pool. The resort of Cala D'Or is also just a five-minute drive away.

Inside, the house is full of space and natural light from full-height windows and terraces. On the ground floor there's a large lounge and dining room with comfortable sofas around a fireplace, a long dining table - and even a bar! It's a corner room and three sets of French doors open out onto the pool and dining terraces. The kitchen is light and well planned with appliances including a dishwasher - laundry can be done in the separate utility room. Also on the ground floor there are two twin bedrooms and a lovely circular double bedroom in the tower. There's a family bathroom too with a bath and a shower, and a separate shower-bathroom.

A staircase up the side of the house leads to the first floor - with a double bedroom, twin bedroom, a family bathroom with a bath and a shower, and a sun-terrace. Higher in the tower, up a curving staircase, there's a lovely reading room and a rooftop sun terrace with gorgeous views all around - to the countryside and over to the sea.

The gardens and pool at the house are really private and relaxing - with lawns surrounded by tall trees, shrubs and palms. The swimming pool curves around in a crescent shape with palm trees for shade and a sun-terrace with loungers. For 2010, there is a childrens play area (swings, slides, playhouse) plus Sand pit. There's a great L-shaped covered terrace too with a dining table, and a separate barbecue casita, bread oven and cooking area.

S'Horta, nestled on the outskirts of Cala D'Or, is an atmospheric traditional Spanish village with narrow streets, a beautiful church and several restaurants, shops and bars. S'Horta is a paradise for hiking enthusiasts and cyclists because it is so close to some of the best sights on the island of Mallorca. The 14th century Sanctuary de la Mare de Due de Sant Salvador and Castell de Santueri offer magnificent views across the island, while the nearby hamlet of Calonge has a variety of shops and superb restaurants. For beaches, S'Horta is just as convenient, one of Mallorca's finest sandy coves, Cala Sa Nau, is a favourite with the locals, while the busier resorts and superb Cala D'Or and Porto Colom are just down the road.

Can Sanau is a wonderful house with lots of space and privacy for a relaxing family holiday or a break with friends. Lovely beaches are just a couple of minutes' drive away - or a 25-minute walk. And the stylish resort of Cala D'Or is also just five minutes away by car.

    There is an additional minor breakage charge which also includes use of a safety deposit box of £15 per week (if you do not wish to pay this then a security deposit of 25% of the property cost is required when paying the final balance).

    Extras available include: cot, high chair, bed-guard, stair-gate, pushchair from £20 each per week, extra bed if available £75 per week – please use the booking form when booking the property to pre-book all these and many more extras & activities including Nintendo Wii, bike hire, day trips, rounds of golf and car upgrades.
