The large beamed living/dining room leads out to a veranda over the cobbled street - ideal for morning coffee while the village below stirs into life. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary and laundry needs. The large vine-clad sun terrace is ideal for al fresco dining, relaxing or sun bathing amidst stunning views to the summit of Mt Olympus.

The village Lofou lies 26 Kilometres Northwest of Limassol. To get there follow the Limassol - Troodos road and just past Alassa you will see a sign post indicating Lofou. The village is built over hills like an amphitheatre, at an altitude of about 800 meters.

The village of Lofou Cyprus has withstood the test of time. Walking its maze of narrow cobbled stone streets and viewing the old stone buildings brings you back to a mostly forgotten glorious time.

As you walk the streets, you quickly discover that not a single one is level - they either go upwards or downwards. No street is straight, each turn is an adventure in discovery. You can not see what lies ahead beyond the next bend in the road, making your walk most enjoyable. There are numerous areas where you can see the whole village, similar to looking at a master painter's canvas.

The Roman amphitheatre, temples and racing stadium are a 25 mins drive away at Curium. The beach here is wide and long - good for strolling or swimming. In the summer the Amphitheatre hosts Shakespeare in the open air by the sea.

Hit the highway...: The only highway in Cyprus allows easy access to a wealth of tourist treasures. Day trip to Paphos town, see Petra tou Romiou (Aphrodite's birthplace), the Vakas Gorge (4x4 needed), the gorgeous sea views from the Paphos coast road, the unmissable Akamas peninsula via the harbour village of Polis. Ancient churches, monasteries and wineries are everywhere!

Another treasure only 25 mins away is Kolossi Castle, the preserved Crusader fortress. Also the medieval castle in Limassol Old Town and nearby St Andrew's Street for shopping. Or try the huge water park at Fassouri, only 30 mins from the house.

Don't forget the famous divided capital city, Nicosia - so modern and chic, so ancient and historic. Visit the Green Line held by the UN, cross over to Turkish Cyprus for the day - a different world! Also visit the mountain monastry of Stavrovouni to see the relic of the Holy Cross - women cannot enter - however enjoy stunning views across the entire island from this holy fortress.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (British Pound) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Payment is in Euros or GBP, by bank transfer only.
    A deposit of 50% will be required at the time of reservation to secure booking. Balance is due three weeks before arrival date. Also refundable deposit of €150 per week is required for breakages.

    If excess cleaning required on departure this will also be charged at an hourly rate.

    Property price includes gas, electric, hot water, heating , towels, and dry stores such as washing powder, soaps, paper products, tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, plus generous basket of local foods such as bread, milk, butter, jam.

    All prices include tourist tax, electricity and water. Pool and garden maintenance are provided free of charge.

    Villa available from 2pm on arrival and vacated by 11am in day of departure.

It was the first time that we decide to go to Cyprus for holidays. We found this home for one advertise in www.choosefx.com , when i saw the price and that can stay all the family in this home with private pool only with 130 per day I didn't expect to find so fabulous accommodation. The listing description is extremely accurate the property was very clean and pool too. The customer service was real excellent and the all the people were so friendly. I will recommend this property to all that will go to this island was not only value for the money was excellent. It was near of all, It is suitable for people who want to calm but and for people who want to chill out.
We plan to go again to Cyprus and we know for sure where we will stay.

My family and I went for holidays in Limassol. We stayed in this Villa. We were 8 people. I must say that all the people were amazing, friendly and very helpful at all levels. Was surprised with the village and that was everything so near of us. Mornings were like dream were amazing. The weather was fabulous and give us the chance to enjoy the perfect pool days and nights. We will stay again.
