Recently modernized waterfront cottage with spectacular views from inside and from the elevated deck. Located on 7-mile long Pleasant Pond, off Route 201, between Brunswick and Augusta. Large, open living/dining area with wrap-around views of the lake. Modern kitchen and bath with shower. First floor bedroom with queen-size bed and large loft also with queen-size bed and a sofa. Located on 2.5 acres at the end of a quiet road. Walk to adjacent Peacock State Beach or swim and fish from your own dock. Launch your boat from the adjacent private launch point or concrete public boat launch just a mile away.

Boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking. The map shows Fire Road 120. That has been changed to a street name. Our cottage is the last one on the road and directly on the water.

This is a very well-equipped and spacious cottage on a beautiful lake. The lake is perfect for fishing and boating; swimming, not so much. The cottage is roomy and easily accommodates four people. There is a loft bedroom as well as another bedroom with a door.
The owners are very nice people who responded right away when the DVD player needed replacing.
Visit Gardiner and Hallowell while you are there...two of my favorite towns on the planet!

We stayed here a couple summers ago and were disappointed that the water here was very mucky and weedy and not good for swimming. The cottage is very cute, clean and comfortable. If you have children interested in swimming this may not be the place for you.

Charmingly rustic and Comfortably inviting

My wife and I just spent Colunbus Day weekend at this cottage and we could not be more pleased, Everything from comfortable beds with quilts galore to all the ammenities needed to spend a day or a month (which we intend to do come July). The addition of the internet and cable TV will be a plus for some. If you are a fisherman, large mouth bass fishing is EXCELLENT! The setting is just as pictured and described. We had the fall foliage as an added bonus but Pleasant Pond if very descriptive of the serenity and peacefluness of this cottage. Do not hesitate to give this property a try - you will not be disappointed.

Cottage with lovely views right on the water.

This was our third year at this rental. The cottage is quite equiped and has alot of space. The back of the cottage is all window which makes the view of the lake lovely. The wild life is abundant. There is a canoe and a paddleboat and the nearby towns-Gardner and Hallowell are fun to visit
Several nice restaurants in the town of Hallowell as well as a wonderful bike path make this rental more enjoyable.

Very nice property on a lake - accurately described.

Friendly landlord, very responsive.

Easy access off route 201.

Clean and well maintained.

Cannoe was very useful as was the propane bbq.

All kitchen utilities in place - including coffee maker and wood stove (in addition to regular stove).

Sleepers 3 and 4 need to sleep on couches.

I would recommend this property.
Owner's Response: The cottage has a Queen-size bed in the first floor bedroom and a Queen-size bed on the loft and accomodates 4 guests comfortably. This comment was from a group of 4 dads in the area to watch a youth soccer tournament, hence the comment that two sleepers had to sleep on couches.
