Built on the ledges overlooking the fishing harbor of South Bristol, 'Harbour Ledges' has cottage charm yet provides all the warmth and comforts of a year-round home. The blend of antiques, family heirlooms, art, oriental rugs, wicker furniture with colorful fabrics, and a cozy gas fireplace offers an ambiance of casual elegance to make you feel at home. The recently renovated kitchen, complete with dishwasher and microwave is fully equipped with Dansk china and all cooking utensils, including toaster oven and a blender. The original Garland gas stove with griddle and old porcelain sink appeal to our nostalgic guests. Perennial gardens are nestled against the natural ledge backdrop. Everything about this cottage-home is done with taste and style, down to the chilled bottle of champagne awaiting your arrival. Pemaquid beach, golfing, kayaking, boat rentals, fishing, shopping, art galleries, library, hospital, and concerts are all within walking distance or 10-20 minute drive.

About Our Area: Harbor Ledges, located near Christmas Cove, is a 15-minute drive to Damariscotta, Pemaquid Beach & New Harbor, Maine. Rutherford Island is accessible by a swing bridge, one of two in Maine. Kayak rentals and lessons are available on the island or within 10 minutes, as is Wawanok Public Golf Course. Enjoy lobster from one of the nearby fishing docks or wharves. Watch the pleasure and lobster boats from Harbor Ledges' deck or Adirondack chairs. View the lovely 'Wedding Guest' perennial gardens and rose bed, where every plant and shrub represents a guest in attendance at the owners' wedding. The Midcoast/Boothbay region of Maine is rich with art galleries, concerts and cultural events. In July, the Island’s only church is host to a premier string quartet.
