Charming Maine waterfront summerhouse from the late-1800s, about 20 feet from the ocean at high tide. The spectacular view looks west over the small islands dotting Penobscot Bay, toward the Camden Hills and sunset. From the porch glider, watch schooners, lobsterboats, and glorious sunsets. Sail your own boat (moorings for rent) or use our rowboat to explore Bartlett's Harbor. Children can hunt seaglass and driftwood, explore tidepools, catch crabs from the dock. 15 acre property, 2 shared private beaches (pebbly and rocky), pier, rowboat, boathouse. Furnished with antiques, lovingly maintained, the five bedrooms (one downstairs and four upstairs) have patchwork quilts, with the comforts required today: most modern appliances, spacious kitchen, deck.

North Haven Island is known for its artists, water crafts, and lobsters! Our house is right on the water's edge, so watch the passing lobsterboats, schooners, and other crafts dotting Penobscot Bay. We supply a rowboat, or bring your own boats to moor in the harbor. Enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, walking, biking, beachcombing, photography/painting, wild flowers / raspberry-picking, reading. Through the local yacht club, golf & tennis are available.

The kitchen is well-supplied with pretty dishes, table linens, and stainless silverware, there are ample pots and pans, cooking supplies. Firewood is stacked outside the back door. Some children's videos, and old family books and games can be found. Outside, the rowboat awaits you on the pier. The Boathouse holds old clam baskets, fishing gear, tools, life preservers.

A vibrant community center in downtown North Haven is open all day with games for kids and adults, donuts and other sundries, and events almost every evening: lectures, plays, movies, concerts.
