I've stayed in many a rental cottage, but never one that felt so much like a HOME! Mary's Guest House lived up to all of our expectations. The photos and descriptions of the property were right on. The house was clean, cool (thanks to A/C and ceiling fans), and stocked with all sorts of basic supplies to make day-to-day life a breeze. Mary thoughtfully provides maps, menus, and brochures to make navigating the area easy. Plymouth is a short, lovely drive (15 minutes) away. Fun shops, whale watches, cruises, and historical sites abound; great for active families. Plymouth also has a wide range of restaurants, from quick & easy take-aways to lovely bay side eateries. The beach is a SHORT walk down the street from the house. There is a rather steep, long set of stairs down from the bluff, but we found ourselves used to it quite quickly. It was worth it to be on such a secluded, quiet beachfront. Soft sand for relaxing, clear water for swimming, and great low-tide beach walks. We loved this house, would recommend it to friends, and would definitely stay again!
