Summer visitors--swim, surf, fish, crab, boat, miles of sandy guarded and unguarded private beaches. Bike to Assiteague Island National Seashore. Bike Path from Town.
--if you love the outdoors, and prefer the seclusion of off season, there is more hiking, biking, bird and wild life watching, boating, canoeing, kayacking, fishing, swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, eating, shopping and most importantly-- relaxing-- than you can imagine (see photos below.) Fall and spring have become our favorite times at CI and AI. AI has many hiking trails, and great history. Must see the light house.
Miles of trails to be explored by foot or bike. Water fowl and wild life lovers--there are miles of trails you need to see in the off season--perfect temperatures, no bugs!! In the summer you can bike or hike down AI to find private beaches or remain in the safety of the guarded beaches. Boaters--there are islands in the vast bay areas that will be yours for the day.
We have a very large driveway to accomodate boats on trailers, a shed for equipment, and there are public boat ramps on both Islands. Swimmers, surfers--boat tours availible to secluded and little known surf spots--our neighbor to the left is a Captain and has many great tours. Downtown movie theater, easy walk. We provide bikes *often tires need a pump at the local gas station, crabtrap, beach chairs, linens and towels *again, limited supply- you are always encouraged to bring your own towels!
This is the laid back beach house complete with WiFi,fax machine / 2 t.v.s with VCRs, DVD player, stereo with CD's. A nintendo and games, as well as a small DVD and VCR library, books and magazines are availible. One block from Maddox Boulevard, you can ride your bike to the beach, walk 1 block to the bay, the local coffee shop--the 'Main Street Shop' coffee house, art galleries, and downtown, with it's amazing assortment of restaurants and shops.
Wireless internet and fax machine are provided. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, child friendly. We also welcome your dogs. Upstairs has a large bedroom with four single beds, ideal for the kids, abutting to a second large master bedroom with half bath. There are Wood floors throughout.
2.5 mile bike/hike to Asseteague Island, Wildlife Loop, Pony Loop, Great for Bird and Wildlife watcher, photographers. Bike lane from CI to AI all the way to the beach, and bike path goes several miles down beach to secluded beaches and dunes. Permits availible through park service for backcountry camping, off roading.
The den offers a futon making it ideal for guests-- The futon allows the den to double as another sleeping area. An air mattress is also provided. There is a larger TV and VCR/DVD and nintendo here as well, perfect for down times. The living room also is very large with wood floors, and opens into the kitchen.
The kitchen has a eat in area, and is tiled, with an island counter, dishwasher, and fully equipped with microwave, coffeemaker, blender, coffee grinder and dishes and utensils. You will be lacking for nothing. Off the kitchen is a washer and dryer in it's own room, and back exit to a screened-in porch.
The back yard is 3/4 fenced with a privacy fence, also good for kids, large backyard, gas grill, outdoor shower, and large driveway to accommodate you and your guests. The kids will love catching toads on warm summer nights!!!
