Excellent choice!

The house was just as adversized...spotlessly clean, well equipped, etc. The owner was very easy to work with and returned the security deposit in a timely manner. The convenience to the lake was outstanding, and the view was wonderful. My husband canoed and I sat on the deck and soaked up the ambience. We enjoyed poking around the countryside and learning more about the area. I would definitely return to this cottage.

Terrific Lake St. Catherine Rental

My two week stay at the the Cottage Illusion was a great experience. The view from the deck on the front of the camp overlooking the water was spectacular, and the large sliding doors from the living room onto the deck give you the feeling of being outside even on rainy days. The large yard provided ample room for a relative's grandchildren play when they stopped in for a visit. Ed and Carolyn were fantastic about getting in touch with us and asking if there was anything we would need to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable an experience as possible. The fact it is also a rental that welcomes guests to bring along their pets, provided they are well behaved, is a great additional feature. Having been a long time renter of camps around Lake St. Catherine over the last 15+ years I can safely say my stay at Cottage Illusion was by far the most enjoyable and would recommend this property to anyone with complete enthusiasm.

Nice Cottage

The cottage is perfect for a family of four. It was clean and comfortable. The ceiling fans are great for the hot weather. Our dog loved "fishing" in the lake. Kids loved jumping off the dock. We couldn't get the paddle boat to steer, so we couldn't use it. The view is beautiful. We can't wait to go back.

No Better View and Biggest Yard

This property has the most grass and a wonderful view of the lake. Most lake properties have a small strip of grass and a dock. The cottage sits far enough off the lake so that the deck has plenty of privacy. The lake is in view from the kitchen, large family room, and master bedroom. The sliding glass doors across the back give the feel of being on the lake while relaxing on the sofa. My wife and daughter enjoyed the trip as well.

The owners are very pleasant and easy to work with.

Having rented this cottage for a week each Summer since 2002 probably says enough about what I think about it and its outstanding location. The owners are always so nice and gracious to interact with, and have always stopped by in their boat to make sure everything was going well or if there was anything I needed.

So few places in this region are "pet friendly" and this was the primary reason for choosing the cottage the first time. The reason I keep coming back is the cottage is clean, well maintained, in a beautiful spot, with a good dock for my boat. Despite being pet friendly, there is no evidence that the visiting pets are anything but well behaved. My two "boys" love the place as much as I do.

Each year there is always something new that has been upgraded to make the stay even more enjoyable, however, my guests always get a kick out of the "vintage" microwave which I hope they don't soon replace!

The bedrooms and living room offer ample space. The bathroom and kitchen are a little tight but keep in mind, it's a cottage, not a "villa".

This place has just been a great "home away from home" for many years now. The Vermont star-filled nights are an absolute joy to behold!
