Our house sits peacefully in semi-seclusion with views in the heart of the Green Mountains. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 baths. Two minutes to skiing, five to town! This place has everything you need for a good time: Outdoor Hot Tub, fully and tastefully furnished, comfortable, down-covered beds, HDTV/VCRs/DVDs, stereo, laundry, Wi-Fi, close to town, private. The beautiful new kitchen is fully equipped for those who like to cook. It features granite counters, new appliances, and a center island which makes a wonderful social space with stools around it. Staples, cleaning supplies, spices, condiments, linens, etc. are all included. All you need to bring is your toothbrush and skis.
Pets are permitted with deposit.
Recent Remodeling: Several years ago we completed a major remodeling project which included more than doubling the size of the kitchen, putting in all new top-of-the-line appliances, new cabinets with granite countertops, a large center island with stools around it to sit and socialize with the cook, tiled floors, all tastefully decorated. This has dramatically changed the flow and feeling of the house, opening everything up and making it much more accommodating for large groups. Also, we have added a screened-in back porch and another deck that goes the entire East side of the house from front to back, connecting the back porch to the front deck. The hot tub is now sequestered at the back of this side deck next to the porch. The porch has Plexiglas inserts for the screens which enables use even on cold days.
SKIING DETAILS:: This house is a stone's throw from the entrance to Sugarbush North, Mt. Ellen. It is about ten minutes to South. Also, going the other direction you are about 5 minutes to Mad River Glen, one of the most unique ski areas anywhere. For the children, I have a couple of Mad River Rockets available that you can use right on the property or on nearby lanes. Snowshoeing and Nordic skiing is conveniently available, also: The Catamount trail is a quarter mile away, and other trails go up back of the house through the woods.
