If this isn't the most perfect ski house in the East, it's close. Recently remodeled, huge 7 bedroom, 5 bath slopeside private house. Directly on Out-to-Lunch Trail. Ski non-stop from back door, down Out-to-Lunch, to lifts. Great views of slopes and Lincoln Peak. The house is fully equipped. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms (king, trundle bed, trundle bed) sharing a full bath. This house has everything you need. Proximity to the mountain (ride out directly to Mt. Ellen). Steam Shower, Sauna, Nice clean jacuzzi, well stocked big kitchen, and tons of space. The layout of the house was perfect for our relatively large group including 2 toddlers.
Doug couldn't have been easier to work with. Everything ran very smoothly and he was extremely flexible and generous when we were stranded an extra day due to a huge snowstorm (POWDER DAY!). I would highly recommend this property and we can't wait to come back next year.
Three families came together this summer in beautiful Warren, VT for a family wedding. This house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of rooms, beds, sitting areas for kids and adults, linens, etc. The kitchen is well stocked and everything in perfect working order. The owner is easy to work with and accommodated our varied schedule. While there, we enjoyed the nice hiking paths and picturesque streams that are right out the back door. The house is in a great location, minutes from hiking, falls, restaurants and the beautiful Sugarbush resort is at the bottom of the hill. Would definitely use again in any season!
we had a large group with kids aged 4 to 14. everyone had plenty of room and lots to do. great area for the kids below and the adults in the kitchen, dining and living area.
easy access to the lifts whether you walked/skied or drove down to the main lot.
nice open kitchen area where it was difficult to get "to many cooks in the kitchen".
Great time by all
We rented this great house for our family and close friends (12) to stay for several days in June while there for my son’s wedding held at Sugarbush Lodge. Everyone loved the location, quick trips for sightseeing to Burlington, Montpelier and other fun places like Ben and Jerry’s made for a great week. We also loved the seclusion of the home, very private and quiet; all you could hear was the relaxing sound of the stream flowing at the bottom of the hill.
The pictures do not do it justice; it is very large and comfy with so many nice areas for those who wanted more privacy to go and be alone. In addition the flow of the house is very conducive for large groups, the dining room was the gathering place and we cooked up some big meals in the wonderful kitchen (the Viking oven is awesome). Even in the summer the sauna and steam shower were very enjoyable. The home was very, very clean and everything you could need was in place and the landlord was very easy to work with, I highly recommend this house for anytime of the year.
Stayed at the house in May to attend our son's graduation from Norwich University. Takes about 35 minutes to get to the campus. House was wonderful Big enough to hold everyone in our group (14) and had plenty of room to socialize. Everyone in our group was extremely happy that we were all together and it added to the fun for the weekend. The house was ready as advertised and all noted amenities were avaiable. The house was clean and there were no problems. Used the kitchen extensively and had no problems. Only negative was the charcoal grill. It really didn't work that well for us, but everything else was great. Would recommend for any large groups and Norwich gatherings.
This is a very comfortable house for a big group. The kitchen is fantastic with almost every utensil you would need if you are a gourmet cook. We prepared all the meals there in the big kitchen. The rooms are spacious and clean. There are futons in the extra living room for the big guys who didn't fit in the bunks in one of the bedrooms.
Calling it a truly ski/in ski/out is a bit of a stretch. It was not an ski trail from the back door. However, we all managed to ski or walk down through the trees and walk up the small hill just fine.
Everyone was very happy with the house and we hope to rent it again next winter.
