Overview

Tahoe City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

JUST A FEW WALKING BLOCKS TO THE EXCLUSIVE LAKEFRONT PARK!

Built in 1947 and completely renovated in 2006, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath 'camp' offers all the vintage charm of a rustic 'Old Tahoe' cabin, and the comforts of a new home. With an open-beamed Great Room, Old Hickory furniture, and antique Navajo and Zapotec rugs, Camp Cedar Crest harkens back to the character full old camps of the Adirondacks.

Situated on a large property in Tahoe Park, on Lake Tahoe's desirable West Shore, Camp Cedar Crest offers generous outdoor entertaining areas. Enjoy the outdoor cedar wood hot tub and spend the evening around the firepit. Play a challenging game of crocquet with your kids on the lawn.

Walk five minutes to the private 3-acre lakefront Tahoe Park, adjacent to the Sunnyside Resort, and enjoy the beach, deep water piers, beautiful lawns, and picnic facilities. Rent bikes or stand-up paddle boards nearby. Take a sunset waterski run from the Sunnyside.

In winter, you're just minutes to Squaw, Alpine Meadows, and Homewood Resort.

Camp Cedar Crest, a refuge from the routine!

About The Owner

The Haley and Barbata families are honored to share our vacation retreat with you.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006

Why The Owner chose Tahoe City

Tahoe Park is so central to Tahoe's attractions. And we love the fact that we are a short walk to the Lake Tahoe Park Association for evening BBQ's or hanging out on the beach. And we are just a quick walk away from the Firesign and infamous Sunnyside Restaurant.

What makes this cabin unique

In the winter, we are conveniently nestled between Squaw, Alpine Meadows, and Homewood. Whether you drive or take the shuttle, you can be on the slopes in minutes!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Peaceful...wonderfully decorated retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We selected Camp Cedar Crest for a ski weekend at Squaw. We were 2 families with a total of 7 people and it was quite roomy. The kitchen was big, the living room had plenty of seating area and the beds were super comfy! The hot tub and fire pit kept the kids occupied. My only recommendation would be that you come with a flashlight if you arrive after dark...:). As the previous review had said Russ was very responsive to any questions that we had.

Great looking retro/antique Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Our family and a friend's family (4 adults 3 kids) went for a weekend in Tahoe. Very glad to have found Cedar Crest! We were surrounded by lots of pine trees. The area was very quiet. It was raining the 2 days we were there. Almost felt a bit mystical living in a beautiful cabin in the middle of all the trees and rain. Russ our contact was very responsive. We arrived in the dark with no torch light and it was pouring outside. Russ answered right away and saved our day. The cabin was AWESOME. I loved every detail of it. Will definitely come again!

A true gem!

  • 5 of 5

Camp Cedar Crest is an amazing cabin near Tahoe City. Our small family of three had a wonderful time both in the cabin and out exploring the surrounding areas. The beds are super comfy and the showers were great. The hot tub is a perfect way to unwind on a cold evening. We look forward to visiting the cabin in the warmer months!

Beautiful and cozy cabin, perfect for a Tahoe vacation

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for our group of 7 girls for a long weekend of hiking. The cabin was spacious enough and still cozy, in a great and central location, and we especially loved the fire pit outside. The beds were also so comfortable! Russ was incredibly helpful and responsive to email. Highly recommend.

Lovely

Our family enjoyed the lovely amenities and close proximity to the lake. The ability to make smores nightly at the firepit was a HUGE plus for our daughters!

Enjoyed our stay immensely

  • 5 of 5

Great rental for a family. The beach association is an easy walk from the house and very accommodating for families - large lawn areas in the shade, playground, tables you can reserve and, of course, it is on the lake. Nice restaurants for both breakfast (coffee) and dinner, a general store, and a resort where you can rent lake toys, all within walking distance. The house is well equipped and in a great location. We enjoyed our meals on the deck and our nights at the fire pit. The owners are very responsive to questions and refunded our deposit immediately. Great family home.
