Serifos House Rental Photos and Description
300metres by The Sea, Splendid Full Bay Sea View, Ideal Balcony, Long Chairs
A dreamy stone made summerhouse with olive green woodwork, in the magnificent (and awarded) sandy bay of Ganema, in Serifos island. The house located just 300m away from the beach, in a complex of 4 houses built in 2010, local architectural line. Facing the sea it is an ideal place to stay and enjoy the magic of Greek waters, sun and meltemi wind. A big bamboo roofed balcony has all the great view, where you can dine or relax on a long chair or a swing and enjoy the sea view in the morning, the romantic sunset in the afternoon and the star bright moonlit sky at night. Accommodation: One bedroom with double bed (140 cm), one bedroom with two single beds, two bathrooms may comfortably host four persons. On the upper floor, a salon with a sofa facing the sea, next to the equipped kitchen. A washing machine and air conditioning complete the utilities. The house is available April-October for seasonal or weekly stay excluding August 1-15th when we usually host friends and relatives.
Serifos is one of the prettiest and still unspoiled islands of the Aegean full of sun and wind and many crystal blue sandy beaches, barren rocky scenery, a truly picturesque capital, a range of night life activities but all at very peaceful levels of tourism since it has traditionally been a family island. Ganema is the largest beach of Serifos on the south of the island, in between Koutalas bay and Vagia bay. The beach is unique in that it is made from big pebbles on the one side followed by sand and ending to thin sand covering any kind of beach you may have dreamed of. Serifos is just 2.5hs from Athens by Ferry still keeping its lively secluded atmosphere. The Port is just 8 km away from Ganema. A few yachts elect this as a night stay. A very famous Greek ship owner has selected Ganema for his summerhouse too.

I have owned and ran an advertising agency in Athens for many years. During my summer vacations, I ve sailed nearly all the Aegean with my sail boat trying to pick the best site for a dream summer house that would match my aesthetics and style. This dream came true a few years ago when we decided to buy 2 houses in Ganema Serifos. One of them we decided to rent.
Serifos is a classy, rather family-island, away from wild tourism extremes but just 2.45hrs from Athens, the first boat stop from Piraeus port. Ganema has been my favorite beach being the largest (about 1km long) and one of the quietest beaches, pleasant at any weather condition, well and uniquely covered from strong northern winds typical during summer. The house is a short and pleasant walk, so near the beach, so you can enjoy the sun or a dive anytime of the day, being even alone early in the morning or enjoying the sunset in the afternoon.
The moment we saw the view from the balcony we said 'that's it!. This will be our house! Usually there are other kids around in the neighboring houses our kids play with and share memorable summer experiences close to the sea nature. There are great trail walking routes for those who are more fit. After crossing a few hills lead you to Chora. There is a small beach tavern that usually operates during summer, where own garden salads are served with great local specialties!... Ideal for lunch with a cool beer after the swim.Worth mentioning there is a bus stop to Chora right off the house complex.
The breathtaking sandy beach is just 300m away, crystal clear blue waters to swim. The view is magnificent from the large relaxing balcony, quiet and away from any noise. Still it's just 10 mins drive both from the port(Livadi) and Chora the mountain capital. Relaxing at my hammock or armchair, enjoying dinner under the bamboo roofed balcony is so cool and refreshing from the warm sun. In case you get too hot there is an air conditioning in every room to cool you down. At night it all turns romantic listening to the sound of breaking sea waves and watching the starlight skies under candle lights... What more can you ask for?
