•Other services: Taxi services, baby sitting, on site cooking and homemade food deliveries and housekeeping.
We live in Calheta and are on hand to answer your queries and be called on in emergency.
Self-catering in the Madeira Islands is simple, inexpensive and enables you to be as independent as you like.
Portuguese is the native language and English, French and German are widely spoken by our helpful and friendly people.
Direct flights operate between London and Funchal on a daily basis and from most regional UK airports on an increasingly frequent basis. The flying time is approximately 3.5 hours.

What makes this apartment unique
Madalena do Mar is a small village located on the southwest coast of the Island with beautiful sea and cliff views. Its name came from a legendary Polish Prince of the 15th century, Henry Allemão. He lost a battle in 1444 and was given land by João Gonçalves Zarco and established a great-populated farm where he built a chapel dedicated to the Saint Mary Madeleine.
Madalena do Mar is a characteristic fishing village with a beautiful promenade along the pebble beach. It’s location and accompanying climate has helped it to establish the biggest banana plantations on the Island.
