This is a recently renovated two bedroom, top story Fairway Oaks villa in West Beach on Kiawah. Kiawah Island Golf Resort has rated us a top quality 'A'-rated villa. Our villa has new bathrooms, flooring, furniture, appliances and freshly painted rooms. It has a private walk-out porch, with tranquil views overlooking a nature abundant lagoon. Our villa is centrally located. It's 1000 feet from the beach! A five minute walk will get you to golf, tennis, the beach, or Straw Market center's quaint shops and restaurants. Resort privileges are included with your rental, providing you all the privileges of a Kiawah Island Golf Resort guest. Your guest card provides you with access to the Night Heron pool and recreation area, island shuttle transportation, and attention from the courteous resort staff to handle any of your needs. Historic Charleston is within a 20 minute drive; enjoy shopping at the newly opened Freshfields Market and fine dining at the 5-star Sanctuary hotel.

Notes: Our rental unit is comfortable and relaxing. 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths with a sofa pullout provide comfortable accommodations for a maximum of 6 people. A full kitchen, washer and dryer, cooking utensils and appliances and linens/towels are provided. This second floor unit has an outdoor balcony with seating for 4 and a master bedroom bay window, which both overlook a tranquil lagoon. Hi-speed Internet service provided in the villa during peak season. A perfect place to which to return after a day out at the beach or pool, a vigorous bike ride around the island, golf or tennis weekend, or paddling through the nature rich island.

Great location with easy access to the beach. The unit was very comfortable with a great view of the a lagoon. Very nice living room with an expansive couch and room to entertain. The rental was seemless with pool passes, keys, and vacation planning info provided at check-in. The unit was clean had all the amenities including the "vacation blender". If you have the time take advantage of the "dive in drive in night" at the beautiful Sanctuary hotel. (The dates are in the planner provided at check-in.) The Night Heron pool is nice, but be aware it's only 31/2 deep in all areas and never without kids. (Nice nature center right next to it.) There is an adult pool as well. Charleston is a short drive away and is full of great restaurants and things to do with the whole family. We saw Fort Sumter, went to the market, and took a "ghost walk" tour at night. Too many great restaurants to choose from. We like Poogan's Porch and the out of the way "Coast" seafood restaurant in Charleston. If you're planning most of your time at the beach it's wise to rent the chairs and umbrella for the week. (Available on the beach) Plenty of activities for the kids; details provided in the info book at check-in. (Crafts, canoeing, basketball, volleyball, sea study, etc.) The marketplace prior to entering the gates is excellent. Great grocery store where all the necessary items can be found. Plenty of great shops in this complex as well. I recommend renting your bikes through "The Island Bike and Surf Shop", they have great prices and excellent service. Call ahead so that your bikes are waiting for you. I had 2 teenage girls with me and they had a great time. They saw alligators, dolphins, and all kinds of sea life. They loved the beach and went for frequent bike rides.There's plenty to do for adults and kids alike. I'd definitely recommend staying at this unit, I've been fortunate enough to stay virtually everywhere on Kiawah Island with my wife over the years and Fairway Oaks is a convenient location.

Nicely decorated villa for all ages. We have stayed at other locations that had too many things for young children to reach and get into. This was tasteful and comfortable without being excessive. Walking distance to golf, tennis, shopping, dining, and the beach. Kitchen was stocked for all of our cooking needs.

A beautiful rental. Everything was modern and tasteful. Rental was well maintained and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with useful items. Pool access was a plus.
