Come enjoy an Asheville vacation and use our studio apartment as your home base. Start your day on the screened-in porch with a cup of coffee, then relax with a glass of wine in the evening after a day of hiking the mountains or Downtown Asheville. Inside, make meals in your own kitchen and enjoy fun, retro furnishings in a custom, owner-designed building. It was completed in 2003 using lots of salvage materials, which adds to its charm. The studio apartment is separated from our living space by a breeze-way, so we’re here if you need us.
Our apartment is quite close to exciting shopping, the airport, and the many outdoor activities in the area. There’s no shortage of delicious and inventive dining in town, and the best part is you can go in your tee shirt and flops. (If you want, you can be fancy.) We are minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Biltmore House. Walk to the neighborhood Yoga studio or to Greenlife Grocery, where you can get the best éclairs in the world. We are located in North Asheville, about 1.5 miles from Downtown. If you're looking for the essential Asheville experience, you've found it.

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights at Luna's Retro clean and comfortable apartment. It is in an ideal neighborhood not far from downtown Asheville. So happy we found a wonderful place to stay when we return to Asheville.
My husband and I have stayed here 4 times now. It is such a cozy place and it is close to so many wonderful places. Anytime we come to Asheville we always stay here. We love going out onto the screened porch for coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine at night. Sharon has thought of everything you could possibly need! If you are looking for a place to stay in Asheville, you will not be disappointed at Luna's!
This is a perfect little studio for an enjoyable visit to Asheville. The studio is well-maintained (very clean) and has just about everything you could ask for--whether you're in Asheville for a day or a week. It's within walking distance to downtown, or a very short drive. I would not hesitate to recommend this to a friend, and I expect to use it for future visits.
My wife and I stayed here over the long 4th of July weekend. The place was great! It is the perfect size to be used as a home base for two people that don't plan on spending a whole lot of time in the room, but it was also definitely large enough not to feel cramped when you were staying in. There was ample space for stretching out, the furniture and bed were comfortable (looks like some of the furniture has been updated since the pictures above were taken), the layout made sense, and the kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, plates, bowl, utensils and silverware you'd need.
As for location, it is only about a mile walk to downtown, and it gives easy access to I-240 if you are headed out of town and into the mountains.
If (more like when) we return to Asheville, we'll definitely look to stay in this spot again!
One thing to note: the bed is kind of small. Luckily my wife and I are both pretty small people, so it wasn't a problem, but it was smaller than we are used to (queen).
What a gem of an apartment this is! I've never stayed in a VRBO this clean. The retro theme is really cool and reminds me of my mother's kitchen growing up. The bed was quite comfortable.
The neighbourhood is charming and there are lots of trees. You can walk to downtown, although it's not the most scenic walk. A good vegetarian restaurant can be found about 5-10 minutes away by foot. There are tons of great restaurants and craft beer nearby.
This is THE place to stay when you're in Asheville!
We had an excellent time at Sharon's. The cozy apt is easy walking distance to downtown (about 10 minutes of walking) and the awesome retro decorations really bring the apt. together.
