Cottage Dragoeiro is located at Pedregal, parish of Ponta do Pargo, municipality of Calheta, in the North West side of the Island, at 400m above sea level and accessed by its own driveway. Because of the new road system you can drive round the whole island in a day, so all the places are within easy reach.
This house offers a base for relaxing or for exploring a beautiful area of Madeira. A car is necessary. Calheta and Porto Moniz beaches are 30 minutes by car. In Calheta you can enjoy a nice beach with golden sand imported from Morocco, a marina offering dolphin/whale watching, excursions and deep sea fishing boats for charter, a hotel, supermarket, bank, art gallery and good choice of restaurants; in Porto Moniz you can enjoy a natural swimming pool, good restaurants and amazing scenery and in. You also can enjoy the beach and the fishing village of Paul do Mar and surf in Jardim do Mar, a beautiful place with big waves.
Ponta do Pargo is a very good location for walkers. You will find a spectacular levada and mountain walks nearby. Some beautiful places that you can visit in the surroundings are: Levada Nova, Lighthouse, “Miradouro da Capela da Nossa Senhora da Boa Morte”, etc.
