4 Bedrooms For Up To 10 People, Private Swimming Pool And Gardens

Quinta Santo Antonio is the ideal property for relaxing holidays with everything close by! The manor house was named after the Lisbon's favourite Saint; you will find within the private grounds many allusions to Santo Antonio, as well as ancient structures such as arches and wells. The villa was sympathetically restored, retaining its authenticity and providing a luxurious setting for an unforgettable holiday. The villa is a fine example of traditional Portuguese architecture.

The main entrance to Quinta Santo Antonio is via a spacious entrance hall. To the left, and separated by glass doors, the vast living room is found with a lovely encased fireplace providing the focal point. This glorious room has 6 separate French doors opening to the gardens in 3 different directions: whatever the time of day, light is pouring through! There is an ample seating area for 12 people. The dining area has a large table for 12; modern functional kitchen.

Beaches: Guincho Beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is 3 kilometres away.

Estoril Beach has quieter water in its protected bay. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.

getting there and around: Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30-40 minutes.

Located in the protected national park of Cascais-Sintra, the property is only 2km from the motorway and so half an hour from Lisbon and its cultural attractions and night life. Taxis are available and cheap, and bordering with the Penhalonga resort, transport and tours from there can easily be taken.

Weather: Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.

Notes: The Penhalonga luxury resort which borders the villa provides a 5 star hotel, with 2 golf courses, luxury spa, horseback riding, tennis, bars and restaurants. Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive across the mountain. Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais. Less far in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing. Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites.

La verdad que lo pasamos fenomenal, la casa estaba en perfectas condiciones y cumplio de sobra nuestras expectativas. Sin duda volveremos a villa san antonio algunos dias en verano cuando haga mejor tiempo!!
Ademas la casa estaba muy bien situada a muy pocos minutos de todos los puntos de interes.
Estamos muy contentos todos.
