This waterfront rental is located on Blue Hill Bay in the town of Brooklin, ME. The 5 acre property has a private beach and easy access to Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park, either by boat or auto. Our location provides unparalleled scenic beauty, peace and quiet. For sailing enthusiasts we have a deep-water mooring - 18 feet at mean low water - and the myriad of islands and coves in the area makes for ideal boating experiences.

A wonderful vacation!

We stayed for a week with our 4 year old and 7 year old and it was the most relaxing and wonderful vacation we've had in years. The stream with the resident frog, the beach with the ocean treasures, the grassy field - all provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Acadia's an hour away, Blue Hill 20 minutes, Deer Isle 15 minutes, but we ended up staying at the cottage as much as we could. The Brooklin Library 5 minutes down the road is fabulous with a great kids section, and wireless access. The cottage was cozy, clean, well furnished and had plenty of kitchen supplies. The back deck has a barbecue and lovely view. Cell phone coverage is consistent in the cottage (not always the case in coastal Maine) and thus we were able to use our iphones to check email.

Our only regret - that we hadn't signed up for two weeks!

We stayed here for two weeks and we all could have stayed longer. When you book online you just hope it will live up to what the owner says well this Maine cottage was all that and more. The view from the deck, the fireplace the beds and everything was better than expected. Mr.Gray the owner was so great to talk to and learn more about the area. To be just down the street from the Maine home of EB White the author of Charlotes Web was amazing. Brooklin is a very small town with lots to close by. Wooden Boat School is close by along with Deer Isle which is a must see, but the best was just sitting watching on the deck after a day of kayaking and watching the sun go down. If you want a true Maine cottage, not a pottery barn experience this is it. Go visit Bar Harbor one hour away but stay here!
