A wonderful vacation!

We stayed for a week with our 4 year old and 7 year old and it was the most relaxing and wonderful vacation we've had in years. The stream with the resident frog, the beach with the ocean treasures, the grassy field - all provided hours of entertainment for the kids. Acadia's an hour away, Blue Hill 20 minutes, Deer Isle 15 minutes, but we ended up staying at the cottage as much as we could. The Brooklin Library 5 minutes down the road is fabulous with a great kids section, and wireless access. The cottage was cozy, clean, well furnished and had plenty of kitchen supplies. The back deck has a barbecue and lovely view. Cell phone coverage is consistent in the cottage (not always the case in coastal Maine) and thus we were able to use our iphones to check email.
Our only regret - that we hadn't signed up for two weeks!
