With an area of only 288 km2, Bonaire is the sunniest Municipality of the Netherlands. Located in the beautiful Caribbean Sea, Bonaire is the perfect holiday destination with a temperature of around 30ºC throughout the year, the friendly locals and lots of activities offer something for everybone. In the centre of Kralendijk you will find plenty of shops and some cosy restaurants and bars where it is very nice to stay. The local cuisine (Kushina Krioyo = Creole cuisine) largely determines the way of cooking in Bonaire. Obviously a lot of fish is eaten on the island such as dorado, snapper, barracuda and tuna. Bonaire has around 75 restaurants where, obviously, the European and French cuisine are represented. Near the Bon Bida Apartments you can find the Spice Beach Club for example. It is not only suitable as a fantastic sandy beach but you can also have a good lunch or dinner there.
