Wonderful vacation home, perfect for larger family groups, located on a private, peaceful wooded 1 1/2 acre peninsula with extensive lakefront along Georgian Bay. Spectacular views and sunsets from rocky outcroppings. Swimming, boating, fishing and recreational opportunities abound: rent our sailboats or bikes. Our private dock and two water front patios are perfect for reading and relaxation.

ALL RENTALS INCLUDE A 15HP MOTORBOAT AND SHARED USE OF 3 KAYAKS, A CANOE AND A PADDLE BOAT! With a water view in every room, this gracious cottage invites comfort and relaxation. Pine-clad cathedral ceiling living room w/fireplace opens to a spacious dining room. Fully equipped Kitchen and bathrooms. Linens & towels, washer & dryer, all modern appliances included.

This prime location was the site of the area's only hunting and fishing lodge in the early 1900s. Family owned for over 50 years, The Peninsula cottage was built in the 1930s and completely renovated in 2002.

For Sailors: We also have a Hobie Wave sailboat for rent, for great fun on the lake. The price is CDN$75 / US$65 for one day, or CDN$275 / US$235 for the entire week.

For serious sailors, we have a Lightning, please inquire.

For Bicyclists: Bicyclists will love the 16 km Tay Shore Trail, which originates just 3 km from the cottage in Waubaushene. The newly-paved rail trail, which is beautifully maintained, follows the Georgian Bay shoreline and passes through quiet wooded scenery, terminating at the Martyr’s Shrine and the Wye River crossing near Midland.

We have three touring bicycles with suspension for rent: a men's, a women's, and one suitable for a mid-sized kid or small adult. They rent for CDN$50 / US$45 per week each.

For water tours: Full- and Half-Day Boat Tours on a 260HP inboard/outboard motorboat. We supply the driver and you have all the fun. Great boat excursions are available from our dock, including:

Sans Souci (featuring a famous fish restaurant and an extensive lake tour)

The cottage is located in the Southern Georgian Bay region of Ontario, about 90 miles north of Toronto. The is a paradise for those who love relaxing, swimming, fishing and boating of any kind. The Trent-Severn Waterway beings just 2 miles away in Port Severn. Honey Harbour is also nearby and provides a gateway to the open waters of Georgian Bay and the Georgian Bay Islands National Park.

Within three miles of the cottage are a fine sailboat outfitter (Quiet Waters) and right next to it, Swift Canoe & Kayak outfitters.

Also nearby and easily accessible are Midland, Penetanguishene and Orillia, the biggest towns in the area, with major shopping opportunities, movie theaters and frequent festivals and activities, casino, as well as fine dining. Tourist attractions include Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, Discovery Harbour, Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, and access to the Miss Midland 30,000 Islands Boat Cruises (2 1/2 hour cruise on Georgian Bay).
