Bargemon House Rental Photos and Description
Campaoure is a Large 4 Bedroom Bastide Which Sleeps 8 People
Campaouré is an old country house built on two stone terraces with two over a century old lime trees that shade it in the traditional Provençal way. This is an original family home, our family.
The 2 km crushed stone road that leads to the house from the RD 25 already ensures a quiet and perfect tranquillity for a relaxing holiday with breathtaking views facing south into the typical forests of the Haut-Var: oaks, olive trees, pines, juniper and broom.
It has 2 terraces with stunning panoramic views and the main windows and patio doors provide south facing views over the Maures Mountains.
The house is primarily furnished with beautiful French antique furniture.
Entering the house can be done in two ways: either by the main low terrace near the summer kitchen, the tables, chairs and armchairs outside as well as two bedrooms and a shower room; or from above, where one enters the house itself, with an entrance, a kitchen for the winter, a small dining room and a large dining-room, and a shower room. From this dining room, a spiral wooden staircase takes you to the mezzanine floor with a fitness area, an office-library, a double bedroom and a toilet.
Downstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms. One is equipped with 2 built-in wardrobes, Louis XVI style, a dresser with a mirror and a small table. The double bed is 160 x 200 cm.
The other room, which has a wide French door onto the terrace, has a double bed 160 x 200 cm, which can be turned into 2 single beds 0.80 x 200 cm; a remarkable antique armoire from Normandy, a dresser, a chair, 2 bedside tables and a small table with a mirror.
These two rooms share a bathroom equipped with a shower, double wash basins with double mirrors, cupboards, drawers and a toilet.
Outside, the terrace made of stone measuring 6m x 3m, bordered on one side by a wrought iron railing, and the other by pots of flowers; is equipped with a table, 8 chairs and a small old wrought iron bench with cushions. Lighting allows enjoying summer evenings with a view to the mountains in the distance illuminated by the lights of the villages. A kitchen serves this terrace.
There are cupboards, a table, chairs and an American fridge with ice maker, double sink, tub, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a gas stove, and all the appliances that you could wish for: a Senseo coffee machine for espresso, a kettle, a Magimix robot, a drummer, a mixer, an electric chopper and a gas BBQ outside.
Above, served by a typical staircase, one reaches the main floor where the main entrance is when you come from the parking place. There is a nice entrance, a bathroom completely renovated with a tadelakt finish, including a large walk-in shower, a wash basin and a toilet. There is a kitchen with oak cupboards, a gas hob, electric oven, a dishwasher and a beautiful Provençal hood.
Near this kitchen is a dining room for ordinary use, equipped with a round oak table, large cupboards and a glass cabinet with antique dishes. Then, facing south is a large dining-living room including a monastery table and oak buffets. The living room has a fire place at the far wall (now made more effective by the installation of an iron stove inside). The lounge has a sofa, three armchairs and a large daybed; it is equipped with a TV satellite, DVD player and a radio-CD with classical music CDs that we lend to you with pleasure.
A beautiful winding wooden staircase takes you to the second floor. There is a mezzanine overlooking the dining room, featuring a fitness area with four devices, an office-library with an old library cabinet from Normandy, a wall of hundreds of books (in French) an antique desk and a sofa convertible into an extra bed of 140 x 190 cm. This very pleasant room, where you can be alone if necessary, opens onto a magnificent terrace 7m x 2m with panoramic south facing view, equipped with a couch, a small table and two wooden chairs. A double room also opens onto the terrace; it has a double bed of 140 x 190cm, a wooden headboard, an oak wardrobe, an armchair and a small bench from Basque.
There is also a bathroom with wash basin, bidet and WC on this floor.
A small road shaded by almond trees and oaks leads down to the pool, which is 12m x 6m by and fed by spring water that flows there. The depth is 1.50m on end of the basin and then increases gradually up to 2m20 on the other end. The water treatment is fully automatic; an automatic robot carries out the cleaning.
Pool security is provided by an alarm but does not replace the constant supervision of children.
The terrace around the pool is paved with stones; there are six sun beds and four armchairs with comfortable cushions, and a chair-lounger. There is natural shade provided by a large almond tree.

Guestbook comments from the owner
Bien amicalement
