Kings Beach House Rental Photos and Description

House, 6 Bedrooms, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 17)

Large 6 bedroom, 4 bath, 5 King beds, Hot Tub, Pool Table, County fireplace, Views, Privacy, close to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, just up the street from the Lake at Kings Beach, is quiet neighborhood surrounded by forest land and walking trails.

Cozy up to the fireplace and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views from the comfort of indoors. This 6 bedroom 4 bath home overlooks a meadow full of trees and wildlife, and is surrounded by forest land. Your family and or friends will enjoy the miles of state forest trails outside the back door for summer biking & walks and cross country skiing during the winter. You can access the trails from the home and go for miles. All the roads in the neighborhood dead end at trail heads. North National Park is walking distance to the house and offers Frisbee golf, ball fields, snowmobile rentals and much more. The Lake at Kings Beach is 2.5 miles away and has boat and kayak rentals. Shopping and restaurants 2.5 miles away, casinos 3 miles away that will satisfy your thirst for nightlife. Crystal Bay Club is known for their music venues, and Cal Neva for their spa services. There is an abundance of restaurants and shops scattered up and down Kings Beach that will cater to your daytime or evening dining fancies.

In the wintertime… you are in the middle of the North Shore with easy access to all the ski resorts. The house is 4 miles to the entrance of Northstar which offers a great all-around skiing mountain. A new Village was built to immolate Beaver Creek,Co. with shops, restaurants and ice skating rink surrounded by fire pits, bars and seating. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are minutes away with a short cut that eliminates dealing with traffic in Tahoe City. Diamond Peak and MT Rose are 20 min away and offers less expensive skiing with specials and family pricing. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are literally out the back door…and for those adventure enthusiasts, there is a multitude of snowmobiling rentals as close at 2 miles from the house.

For those who just want to decompress, this home is the perfect antidote. The house is designed for comfort, and with over 3100 sq ft of living space, you have ample room for large families or groups of friends to spread out.

As you walk in the front door, you are greeted by 22 ft cathedral ceilings, and a large open long living area. To one side is the kitchen the opens into the dining area. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the amenities for cooking and has a countertop with 3 bar stools. There is lots of counter space and cupboards for your items. The dining room has large mission style table that could seat 12 and overlooks the views off the patio. A slider opens up to the deck with hot tub, BBQ, patio furniture, and panoramic views. The views overlook the meadow and tree lined mountains. You can sit here for hours taking in the sights and smells of the pine trees. The views from the hot tub really adds to the enjoyment of soaking. In the living area is large sectional sofa which faces a river rock hearth country stove fireplace, and 42' TV. You can sit on the couch, watch TV and wildlife at the same time. The room is lined with windows to take full advantage of the views. Scattered pillows and throws will make you feel at home. Next to the sectional is a full bathroom, pool table and another slider that exits to the hot tub. The kids love the pool table which is located at the other end of the dining area. Adults can socialize at the table, and kids can play pool without bothering each other. Summer or winter, morning or evening, you'll enjoy the peace and solitude from any part of the house.

Off the living area is the Master Bedroom. This room is HUGE. It has the high A frame ceilings and feels like a separate cabin. Besides feeling like you're in a separate cabin, it is quiet and private from the living area. This is a great spot for kids or infants napping yet being close to your activities. There is plenty of room for the King bed, 2 twins, trundle bed, TV, and large bathroom with closet and changing area. The bathroom is also set up with rails and bars for the elders who may need a little help. There is also a private deck for sunning in the morning.

Down the stairs is large laundry room with washer/dryer and exit which can be used as a mud room in wintertime. There are 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on this level. 1 queen, 2 kings, and 1 bedroom with King and Twin, and another Large bedroom with King, 2 twins, and TV/DVD. Teenagers/kids love this room because of the size and its at another end of the house to make noise and watch their favorite movies. There is extra floor space here for sleeping bags. All the bedding is European Style with memory foam mattress pad, 300 count sheets, 4 pillows, duvet, and bed throw. Because Lake Tahoe offers so many activities, a good night sleep is mandatory to keep up with all of it.

The open areas and high ceilings enhance the areas to socialize with family or friends, without feeling closed in. The different rooms in the house will allow your group to be together or separate.

There are all the amenities of home and more. Coffee service is provided for your first morning here, and bathrobes are provided in the bedrooms for your use. The furnishings are user friendly with plenty of seating in the living area and patio. Large, wooden beams, triangle shaped windows, and mountain decor throughout the house compliment the 'Tahoe' feeling. The location and amenities of this home makes this a great vacation home year-round.

I offer similar homes walking distance to each other or larger groups or family reunions. Call for more info, other homes, and special pricing.

...a true vacation home. Our 4 families got full use of this great home. There was enough room for all of us to have our privacy and space and then some. Comfortable open areas, nice views, BIG dining table and full stocked kitchen. We were driving distance to everything..super easy to get around the lake. Great restaurants and stores in Kings Beach and we really enjoyed the Hyatt in Incline Village and shops at Squaw Valley which we found a great short cut to. 15min!

Thanks from all of us. Hope to be back next year. GH

Lake Tahoe is a magical place to be both summer and winter. Please feel free to call me with any questions.

I love where the house is on the Lake. You are right in the middle of the North Shore, with easy access to all of Lake Tahoe. The Lake is 3 miles, casinos, 3.5, Northstar 4, Reno 35 minutes, and South Shore is 40 and FUN to go to in the summertime. Skiing is everywhere. I ski at Alpine and Squaw and to drive there from the house, I go the back way and eliminate all the traffic in Tahoe City. I can get there in 20 min's., and is an easy drive.

The restaurants and shops on the lake speak for themselves. But...Northstar is my new hangout! The Village is beautiful!

There is a big ice-skating rink surrounded by bars, tiki torches and outdoor couches with fire pits. Around this are shops and restaurants and then the ski lifts. It reminds be of Vail. In the summertime the ice becomes roller skating with the same ambiance.

You can't beat the neighborhood here. Walking the trails is a twice daily event. There are maintained by the forest service and easy to follow. You can walk to Agate bay, or even Tahoe City if so inclined. Because the area is just up from the Lake, most of the trails have panoramic views of the Lake.

The house is super comfortable and I love walking out the back door and being in the meadow with tall pines. The smell of the forest permeates the house and its quiet, peaceful, and visually soothing.

This vacation rental far exceeded our expectations!

  • 5 of 5
Our large family stayed in the home for a week. We found it not only to be comfortable and meet our needs and then some. To our surprise it surpassed our expectations in every area. The photos do not do it justice. It is even better in person. We will definitely stay here again and would actually consider buying it if we had a smaller family. I love the wood and the decor. I find it very inviting and luxurious. Too bad we had to leave. In addition, the entire experience was more than pleasurable, it was a delight. Kudos to the owner who goes the extra mile to address all concerns and answer any questions with the hiking trails, info on dining, ski resorts, and the best nightlife! With Northstar and Squaw Valley and the king jewel TAHOE of the sierras a short distance away...it is the perfect location, what more could you ask for! We have and will continue to recommend this fine vacation rental to those who want to get away.

Swim,bike,hike. do it all.

The house was excellent - very tranquil with all the necessary amenities, and then some. The layout is open and spacious, along with the backyard with room to play. We didn't walk to the beach but were close enough to enjoy the beauty of the Lake and the fabulous picnic area's a short drive away. Recommend renting a boat to explore the shoreline and stop at some of the restaurants with docks. Also, renting a bike in Tahoe City, and riding the bike path to River Ranch along the Truckee River. All in all, it was a great trip and great location for our group.

Fireplace with comfortable space in mountain place

  • 5 of 5
Arriving to a mist-shrouded mountain did not diminish the comforts of this home, but quickly inspired use of the fireplace. Stocking feet were the norm as the home was Mary Poppins clean. Fresh towels, a huge bed that you stay amazingly warm and snug burrowed in the soft pillow top, and enough sink space for all that you brought and all that you forgot to bring. Easily used all the entertainment options, and enjoyed the tv in living are ( we ran out of time for the DVD). From a command post perspective, this home is perfectly situated. One can merely walk around the house and spot deer, squirrels, and hawks, or walk on the bike paths that are adjacent. Outstanding restaurants are a very short drive away, and major hiking is not far - you can look out the many windows and see a mountain just waiting for hikers. - lack of time prevented checking out the trails. Any kitchen items we needed were there, lots of glassware and every question I had was quickly answered by the owner. We were truly welcomed into their home - Mountain style! The photos of the home are exactly as we encountered (except for snow - that will be someone else's adventure...). We were there for less than a week, and that was not enough time for all we wanted to see around the lake. We will return (owners willing) to continue what we started, but with more down time to relax in the home (especially if one does climb every mountain).

Terrific property and location!

  • 5 of 5
We have rented in Lake Tahoe et al. many times before and have seen the good and not-so-good. We absolutely loved this house! The house was very clean and spacious, with a great layout and amenities. Kitchen had nice pots, pans, glassware and flatware. Lights, appliances, TVs all worked great. There was plenty of space and nice big windows with a beautiful mountain views. My father stayed in the Mater bedroom suite with its own bath and deck, which he enjoyed retreating to when the kids got to be a little much. The master suite upstairs was fantastic, we couldn't believe the space. The other 5 bedrooms and 3 baths were comfortable and conveniently layed out. Great bedding, high quality and clean; it's always a good sign when you see a dry cleaning tag pinned on a comforter. The deck and hot tub area was great, we had a team cookout (we were there for a chili cookoff) and enjoyed the views and patio tables. Kids loved the hot tub and the adults enjoyed it after the kids went to bed! The neighborhood was perfect for walking after out meals. The hiking paths were used often by the kids that brought up bikes, and I think we only saw 1 car pass by on walking the street. We really enjoyed being so close to beach, but enjoyed the peace of the neighborhood better. The owner was fantastic to work with, very accommodating and reasonable.

So-so place for the $$$

  • 2 of 5
The house does adequately hold a large group. The living area is not large enough for everyone to sit & visit. Pool table space would be better suited for additional sitting areas. Sleeping/bedrooms were good. The appliances need updating, particularly the oven and clothes dryer. Trash receptacle was not large enough for the trash generated by a large group. We had a good vacation although there was no snow right after Christmas. Can't control the weather! The house is in a good location to many CA and NV sites. It states it can sleep 17 but I would not put that many people in this house.

Owner's Response: You picked the most expensive New Years Season to visit the house and compared to other homes this size, this is still the best value for your money. The living area is the entire floor upstairs outside of Master Bedroom, with wrap around sectional, scattered ottomans table with 14 chairs, counter with 3 chairs. Not sure how many you had in your group but it seems like maybe you had more than 17. I advertise sleeping 17 because it does. 5 Kings, 1 queen, 6 twins with the twins being in very large bedrooms that have the size to accommodate the extra beds comfortably.
There is a bear box at this home that is 10x6 and holds 3 trashcans. In the directions I provide you with the phone number to trash department if you have excessive trash and would like an extra pick up. The bear box works great for the typical group outside of New Years week without having an extra pick up.
Don't know why the oven and/or dryer were commented on…they're fairly new. I did replace the dryer since then with a bigger one.
I'm glad you liked the area and surroundings. Most groups that stay here enjoy the extra size of this home, the big bedrooms, and in a beautiful setting so close to all.

This house is in the middle of the Northshore and has easy access to all Lake Tahoe has to offer. 1.5 miles from the highway, getting around the Tahoe Basin is effortless. The drive around the Lake is breathtaking and you'll enjoy the different little towns that surround the Lake. . The house is in a quiet pocket of homes just up from the Lake at Kings Beach. All the homes here sit on a meadow with tall pine trees, and the roads dead end at the hiking trails. Winter and summer they are used and maintained by the forest service. It borders the Tahoe Rim trail which is a destination for some with endless hiking trails you can access from the house. Brockway Summit is well know for its path to Tahoe City, and Watson Lake is worth hiking too. You can walk in the summertime to our neighborhood park, North National Park. The park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. An 18 par fitness course, ball fields, Frisbee Golf, playground are just a few options. In the wintertime they offer a nice sledding hill for tubing and snow fun. Within 20 min to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, Northstar in the closest and newest village. The village was modeled after Beaver Creek Colorado...cobblestone sidewalks, copper roofs and a multitude of restaurants and shops that line the 'square'. The square is an ice skating rink in the wintertime and roller skating in summer. The bon fire pits and outdoor bars are always there. Its a wonderful setting to hang out at especially at night. Skiing here is family orientated with lots of ski programs for all ages, and a pristine mountain that keeps a good grasp on good snow conditions. If your staying a week, I highly recommend taking advantage of the other resorts also. A bonus is from the house you can drive the back way to Alpine and Squaw Valley which will eliminate the morning traffic through Tahoe City. Both mountains have tons of excellent skiing, and mountain biking in the summertime. MT Rose is where to go for open terrain, Diamond Peak for kids and an easy day skiing. Both are 15 min to the house. In the summertime, Kings Beach just down the street is a State Park with lifeguard and lake toys to rent. The beach is the highlight with wide sandy beaches, and views you have to experience to appreciate. There are also smaller beaches up and down the strip for reading a book, and dog beaches for your loved ones. Brockway golf course in Kings Beach is a must for those that just want a good time. One of the top 9 hole courses in California, its known for its yardage and views. In the wintertime it becomes a snowmobiling park. Tahoe City is 12 miles away and offers another nice city with shops, restaurants and outdoor venues. The Truckee River is our playground for fishing, river rafting, and bike baths to view all. A nice day is renting your bike in Tahoe City and riding to River Ranch. This is a river front restaurant with large outdoor patio at the entrance to Alpine Meadows. Here is where the river tours end and usually where the rafts have issues. You can spend the day here watching the rafters and enjoying their menu and drink. Between the location , amenities of the house, and your favorite family or friends, you'll have a great home to stay at while getting a true Lake Tahoe experience.
