Bright, sunny, well-kept contemporary cottage overlooking Biscay Pond. Nicely furnished with open kitchen and dining room with cathedral ceiling. Cheery kitchen with everything you need to cook lobsters, rock crabs or steamers. Quiet waterfront with an old town canoe and two person kayak provided. Swimming float and life jackets also provided. Short drive to Fort William Henry, colonial Pemaquid Park and Pemaquid Beach.

The town of Bristol is comprised of 8 fascinating villages, Bristol Mills,Pemaquid Harbor,Pemaquid Point, Pemaquid Beach,Pemaquid Falls,New Harbor,Chamberlain, and Round Pond. Visitors usually go straight to Pemaquid Point to see the famous lighthouse built in 1824 with the crashing surf on the granite ledges. Many visit the nearby gallery of the Pemaquid Art Association and the fisherman's museum nearby. The state park at Fort William Henry and the sand beach are wonderful spots to spend the afternoon. Bristol has many pleasant places to dine and relax. New Harbor and Round Pond are typical Maine fishing villages with fish houses and lobster Coops for a reasonable purchase of a seafood dinner to eat there or at the cottage.

Notes: The cottage does have a 2 person kayak and a canoe for your use at the float. The lake is 3 miles long and a nice trip can be found by taking the watercraft down the Pemaquid River to Bristol Mills. The trip takes all afternoon and the wildlife along the river banks for the 4 mile paddle is breathtaking. The water on the river is very calm and tranquil and can be paddled with ease by most people.
