Love this place!

We've rented this house for 3 yrs in a row and I'm sorry I haven't written a review til now. Our family has been going to Guemes Island for 30 yrs; we rented a small house on the west side of the island but some yrs ago the owners retired and wanted to live there full time--how inconvenient for us! Even tho our children were growing up and busy, my husband and I loved going for long weekends, etc.
But now our 2 kids are grown and married with a child of their own and we needed a larger place for all of us. We were so lucky to find this one! The house renovation was done with comfort and relaxation in mind; it's really lovely. The owners are accomodating and friendly, very easy to work with. That first year we missed the solitude and sense of isolation of the west side but now really enjoy watching the working boats esp. tugs and the ferry. We love being within walking distance of Andersons where we always have a meal or 2, a great draught beer, and the frequent afternoon latte.
We still miss the west side sunsets but the thoughtfulness of providing comfort for guests has made this house our yearly beach trip and a recommendation to all. Thanks for sharing Jim & Janet!
