We just returned from Maldives after a fantastic holiday at Garden Villa. Many thanks to our guide for all the wonderful arrangements
Having spent a holiday in a Maldives resort back in 2010, I must admit that our family were far thrilled and over enjoyed the stay at Garden Villa. It gave us an opportunity to experience the real Maldives, we were free to do anything and go anywhere anytime. The locals are very hospitable and always smiling.
The Villa is in HulhuMale’ island which is connected with the airport island. This is a huge bonus as it takes only few minutes drive to reach the Villa. I remember the hassle we went through in 2010 when we stayed at the resort. Sometimes the local transfer alone could ruin two days of your holiday!
Garden Villa is seems to be a well designed property, the ventilation was excellent, we liked that fact that there was a special room for luggage/laundry management and all 3 rooms has attached bathroom and there is an extra bathroom as well. We only realized how useful it was to have 4 bathrooms only when we returned from snorkeling! Everyone was rushing and luckily there was a bathroom for everyone to refresh at the same time. One more thing we noticed was the beds, the beds were super comfortable and internet connection was superb. The location is excellent, everything at walking distance.
The night fishing trip was a unique experience for my family. My son caught 2 red snappers and immediately shared the pics with his friends via Facebook. I just cant express his feelings. We had BBQ and the dinner at the beach.
Later locals told me that Maldives national football team is also called Red Snappers!
I must say that there is another side of Maldives. If you want to enjoy the real Maldives, stay at Garden Villa.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay..snorkeling, diving, night fishing, BBQ, dinner at beach, visit to the picnic island, visit to the capital island etc
