The studio-residence Charles V is a modern and comfortable studio apartment consists of two separate areas, as well as a bathroom with shower and a kitchen with a gas hob with extractor fan and fridge. There is also a small private balcony enclosed by glazed. It 's located on the first floor of a modern building which is situated between the beautiful Old Town, just opposite the Castle of Charles V, where the pedestrian zone begins LTZ, and the modern shopping: an ideal location to visit and enjoy the city walk. The terminal for the airport of Brindisi is easily reached on foot (15 min) or with trolleybuses. E 'equipped with all comforts: independent heating, air conditioning, refrigerator, washing machine, TV, Internet access, printer. It 'was completely renovated in 2006. The taxi station is 100m, 50m nearest trolleybus stop. It 'easy to reach by car and parking is possible around. The railway station 10min walk
We spent a very enjoyable summer in this wonderful, clean and comfortable apartment. We were very happy with our choice and loved living here - we're already planning our return! Marino is a thoughtful, helpful and welcoming host who is easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and genuinely kind.
The apartment is spotlessly clean, and is equipped with everything you need for a few days or a few months. The kitchen is great and the lounge is very comfortable for relaxing or working, with a large table for in-home dining. The bathroom is spacious with a fantastic shower (and excellent water pressure!). The bedroom is also spacious with a large comfortable bed, and just off the bedroom there is a covered balcony with a laundry area, perfect for hanging washing and for storage. This also means that the bedroom is shielded from any noise from the road outside, making it a very peaceful and quiet space despite being in the middle of all the action. As part of the deal Marino sends a cleaner every week with fresh linens. The air-conditioning is another welcome bonus, as summers here can get very warm!
But best of all is the location, just a couple minutes walk from Piazza Sant'Oronzo, the main square. Everything is an easy walk away, and you are surrounded by fabulous cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and all of Lecce's sights. The apartment is perfectly located in between the historic centre and the modern shopping district. In seconds you are in the beautiful Centro Storico with amazing historic architecture and atmospheric streets - or, go the other direction and you are in Piazza Mazzini and the surrounding neighbourhoods with great little shops, delis and grocery stores, where locals go about their daily lives. It is incredibly convenient and exciting to live in this central location, yet noise was not an issue - the building is quiet and peaceful.
All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better host, or for a better home for our summer in Lecce.Thank you Marino - until next time!
We can add nothing that has not already been said before. The apartment looks as new despite its popularity. If you are looking at this apartment don't hesitate, if you are lucky enough to find it is available, book it. It and Leece are fantastic.
The apartment's location close to the centre of Lecce with easy access to restaurants, bars, supermarket, pasticceria, pastificio and a couple of organic food stores makes it an excellent "home" base for exploring the city and region. The tri-weekly organic farmers' market near the railway station/museum is a required stop for foodies.
The flat was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom very functional with ample hot water. We especially appreciated being able to use the washing machine, ironing board and balcony for drying our laundry.
Marino, the owner, couldn't have been more helpful and promptly responded to our texts and phone calls. He was waiting our arrival at the apartment (although we were delayed) and on our departure kindly drove us (and our bags) to the car rental agency. Highly recommended vacation apartment.
I had the good fortune of staying in this lovely apartment for a month while studying at the University of the Salento. It is ideally situated midway between the Piazza Sant'Oronzo in the old city and the Piazza Mazzini in the new city. Everything is within easy walking distance of the apartment, including a large supermarket only two minutes away. It is stylish and spotlessly clean. It is serviced once a week by a cleaner and the owner. It has an excellent 5-star bathroom with an unusually large shower and endless hot water. It has double-glazed windows and is quiet despite overlooking a pleasant tree-lined boulevard. The WiFi performs quickly and without interruption. The kitchen is small but it is clean and neat and has all of the necessary items for cooking, with the possible exception of a microwave. The knives are even sharp, a luxury in this type of accommodation!
The owner, Marino, is the perfect host. He is easily accessible by phone and attentive to the needs of his tenants without being intrusive. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone for a short or long visit in Lecce and look forward to staying there again when I return.
We spent 2 weeks in Lecce at Marino's apartment which proved to be ideally situated by the castle on the edge of the historic centre. The apartment is very well appointed and is clean and modern, we especially liked Marino's touch of the bottle of rose wine and savoury snack to welcome us. Lecce is the perfect location from which to explore the rest of the Salentine peninsula with good transport links. The city itself is bustling and full of activity. I would not hesitate to recommend Lecce and the apartment for a holiday in Puglia.
This flat was perfect for our month long stay. Very clean, Great customer service. (The owner even comes with the cleaning crew to make sure its right.) Its right on the edge of the old city, so its close to restaurants, clubs, a market just a few blocks away and an amphitheater.
The only negative is parking. But if you get a monthly pass, as we did, no problem!
Wifi actually worked, unlike other places we have stayed.
My wife was very pleased with these accommodations & she is very, very picky.
We would not only highly recommend this property, but we also look forward to renting this flat again.
