Ever need a Place to get away??

It was wonderful. Everything was great for the family vacation. Very cozy place to stay at. There were useful information all around the house. The indoor pool and water park is just a 5 minute drive down the road! Kids will love it. Once your stay is over, you will already plan your next stay.

Good place for a family

This was a last minute booking and the lady owner was a little hesitant but was very nice to accommodate my family (big group). All the transactions were carried via Paypal so we felt secure. When we arrived we were happy to see that the place was right next to Camelback. We did have a hot weekend and most of the rooms were super hot. The AC in the living room made it only OK but not great. Needless to say we stayed out in the balcony most of the time. The grill was not too clean but we brought foil to put our meat. The rest of the house was clean but a bit old fashion. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again since the owner was very nice and we got our money's worth. PS the neighbors were also very nice and told us of other things to do in the area on the days we were not in the water park or pool (i.e. casino, lake). Also you can see the fireworks from the water park from the parking lot, something the kids enjoyed very much.

Location,location! Clean and comfortable!

Pictures do not do this place justice. Ski in and out all day and night long. Sip some beverages by the fire. Relax in the hot tub afterward. Comfortable and cozy. Hate to leave!

LACK OF AC RUINED OUR VACATION!

My first impression of the house was that the outside looked decently maintained and likewise for the inside of the place as well. When I arrived at the end of June, it was already very hot outside and this houses ONLY source of cold air is a somewhat portable air conditioner that uses a tube that leads to the outside to exhaust the hot air created. This AC was NOT a window AC and needless to say, our vacation overall was a sweaty mess with our nights spent covered in sweat without covers on.

Next I think it is important to mention that window fans were provided for most of the windows, BUT two or three of the windows of the house were not covered with a screen to prevent bugs from flying in so using a window fan in those rooms was asking to be covered in various types of bugs while you stayed in that room. Also, because of this problem, three of the people who I went on vacation with who were supposed to sleep in a room in the basement ended up sleeping in the living room on the couch as close to the AC as possible. I myself slept on the top most floor that only has 2 beds and I was constantly waking up in sweat. As a point of reference, I can easily say that outside was much cooler than it was inside the house, even if we weren't doing any kind of activity in the house.

Next, I would like to address that many things in the house were not in optimal condition and not well maintained. The main coffee table in the living room was wobbly and felt like it would tilt over and break any second. The screen on one of the doors in the living room was also ripped.

Overall, I think that this place was NOT designed for a stay during the summer as the heat made it barely possible to enjoy the vacation at all. I was very shocked that a place that looked so nice and that wasn't extremely cheap could not afford a stronger AC or more of them installed. I do not think there was anyone who went on vacation with me that enjoyed their sleep or doing activities in the house. Thank the lord that there are multiple attractions within driving distance.

Lastly, I would like to mention that this home doesn't have internet and to get internet you would have to go down a hill to the sports complex and use the Wi-Fi there, but how many people really want to do that?
