Libbys Cottage is a charming two bedroom cottage set in the peaceful area of The Warren, one of the most prestigious and beautiful areas of Polperro, with the tea houses, restaurants, pubs and harbour front on the doorstep and within easy reach of the fishing towns of Looe and Fowey.

Libbys Cottage is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious buildings in Polperro and is a Georgian grade II listed building of historical interest. The property is named Libbys Cottage after a prominent family in Polperro. Members of the Libby family are recorded in Polperro as far back as the 16th Century. So step back in time, relax and enjoy this un-spoilt, picture postcard village.

Internally the cottage is set over three floors and has been beautifully furnished with nautical highlights. The cottage features exposed stone walls, window seats and a cosy effect fire. Externally Libbys Cottage offers a small front patio area complete with seating for four.

Set in the heart of the village with the tea rooms and the famous Blue Peter, a characterful Inn offering hearty food, right on the doorstep. Polperro is arguably one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall, characterised by a jumble of fisherman’s cottages and colourful boats bobbing in the harbour. Here you will also find a handful of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy along with the Polperro Museum and The Shell House - a popular local attraction. The area is also ideal for keen walkers, with spectacular coastal walks within easy reach. There is a small sandy beach in Polperro at low tide. Be sure to visit the miniature village or take a boat trip from the harbour. Polperro also hosts a music festival each year and celebrates Bonfire night with spectacular fireworks. There is a local golf course at nearby Looe, National Trust houses, the Duchy garden centre and much more within easy reach.

Within a short drive you will reach Looe, a popular resort with gift shops, fish and chip stalls and a popular family-friendly beach. Be sure to also make the short drive to Fowey, a charming fishing town with a selection of boutiques and art galleries. Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival. If you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a cruise along the river.

Please note: access to the second floor is via a steep spiral staircase with a feature banister on one side.

This property can accommodate one small dog.

The picturesque fishing town of Looe is situated on the spectacular South Cornwall Coast in a largely unspoilt area of the South West. The town comprises of two villages, East Looe and West Looe, which are divided by the waters of the River Looe Estuary. There is a wide range of restaurants and cafes, many of them on the quay, where you can sample the local fish and watch the sun go down over the river. Traditional Inns and cosy pubs are tucked away in the narrow streets and offer a relaxed atmosphere. Three miles to the West of Looe is the quaint fishing village of Polperro. The towns are characterised by their narrow cobbled streets, steeped in history and full of stories and legends of smugglers and fishing.

Sandwiched between the two towns are a collection of hidden coves and spectacular sandy beaches ideal for swimming, walking or just relaxing. The world famous Eden Project is in the neighbouring town of St. Austell and the historic city of Plymouth, with it’s shops, sights and attractions, is within a short drive.

Properties in Dartmouth and Kingswear incur a 10% premium for stays over Dartmouth Regatta week. Properties in Fowey incur a 10% premium for stays over Fowey Regatta and Carnival week. Properties in Bude incur a 10% premium for stays over the Bude Jazz Festival. In the run up to and including the Olympic period,the prices of properties in close proximity to the sailing area will vary from those listed above,please refer to the website to obtain prices for this period.
