The Ropemakers is a terraced, grade 2 listed town house of architectural and historical importance, estimated to date back more than 200 years. The property is set over three floors with views of St Mary's Church opposite and hillside views to the rear. The property has recently been decorated and modernised accommodating up to six guests.

The Ropemakers is centrally located in the historic market town of Bridport, situated in West Dorset. Within walking distance there are a selection of cafes, restaurants, an arts centre and a large supermarket. Bridport has a rich history, home to hundreds of listed buildings and hosts a regular market as it has done for over 1000 years. In the summer the fascinating market stalls stretch as far as the property.

The town is well positioned to explore the Jurassic coastline, well known for its beaches, traditional seaside towns and discoveries of geological interest. The nearest beach to the property is just 2 miles away, situated in West Bay. This area is a haven for visitors offering a small harbour, pier, fishing trips, plenty of cafes and restaurants, a golf course and two beautiful beaches. The east beach is part of the 18 mile long Chesil beach that stretches to Portland, near Weymouth.

There is so much to do in the area, well within easy reach is the traditional seaside town of Lyme Regis and the bustling seaside town of Weymouth, home to many bars, restaurants, shops and several attractions including Weymouth Sea Life Park.

Properties in Dartmouth and Kingswear incur a 10% premium for stays over Dartmouth Regatta week. Properties in Fowey incur a 10% premium for stays over Fowey Regatta and Carnival week. Properties in Bude incur a 10% premium for stays over the Bude Jazz Festival.
